I am very discouraged to read all the messages that say a dermatologist misdiagnosed your case. I have been wondering if doctors that are at the bottom of their graduating class end up doing dermatology. The one I went to is very incompetent and seems to be more interested in making money through laser treatments.

Nevertheless, he doesn't know any better treatment than LacHydrin either!!!!

And they all look at you like, hey, it's just some red bumps, for pete's sake, get over it. Which really ticks me off.

Why do they take acne seriously but not this? I have it all over my body, probably more wide-spread than most acne cases.

I agree with all the DOWN ON DERMATOLOGIST posts. Many are just in it to make alot of money on rich women who want anti-aging treatments that are easy and lucrative for them to sell.

so true! My mother spent a fortune sending me to dermatologist when I was 17...the last dr I saw has a huge "wart" like growth on his face...not a good sign for a skin specialist. He prescribed a steroid cream for my face that bleached out my cheeks. He later said the cream would eventually thin my skin. His words: "it will make you look older maybe" Derms are the weakest link. I'm convinced the only hope is this board and other people who live with KP...thanks for letting me vent...it helps
