This Stuff Will Work

It is a lotion with 40% UREA

Think its called Rx Only or UREA LOTION, from HI TECH pharmacal

I check this website FDA Backgrounder: Cosmetics Alpha Hydroxy Acids to see if it had any ingredient listed on the site it did not.

I will say, you don't have to use it long term, just untill the KP goes away. From personal experience the KP will go away for 6+ months.

I have had this product for awhile, I have no clue if they still make it. So just ask your doctor for any kind of UREA lotion.

Re: This Stuff Will Work

My KP was on my legs and arms. It was bad enough that it would destroy me mentally.

I can't promise that it will get rid of your KP 100 Percent or that it will work. Just that it would be a good idea to talk to a dermatologist about UREA based lotions.

I did some research on UREA lotions; and basically, urea promotes flakiness of dead and dry skin. It helps keep moisture in the skin;thus, in theory can help many people with various types of skin disorders, KP included.

Re: This Stuff Will Work

Talk to your Dermatologist before buying any UREA based products. He should be able to give you all the information you need, if he thinks it would help he would prescribe you it. You don't know if you are allergic to UREA or if 30 is too much or not enough.

Now to answer your question! I wouldn't know if that specific brand would work, and I am not a dermatologist. On top of everything else, I don't know how bad your KP is.

I have seen the comment more than once on boards that the Ultramide brand of urea lotions feels the most moisturizing. You may want to ask your derm to prescribe you this particular brand of urea lotion.
