Hi Everyone
I am thrilled with the opportunity to receive and get information about K.P. My son has recently had a flareup and we use oatmeal creme etc. but trying to help him is at times, as you know, very frustrating. --I love this emoticon as my daughter actually does this one, lol.

i have had kp since i was 5 years old and i still haven't found a cure!!! people always ask
"whats al over your arms" or "why are your arms so red" and i don't know what to say or do! i am always worried to wear short sleeve shirts cause i don't want people to tease me!! please tell me what to say or how to cure this horrible rash!

It's really fascinating to realize our entire body forms from three essential embryonic tissues. The endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm. What makes this of interest to those with Karatosis pilaris is the fact that the ectoderm becomes not only your skin, but it is also the source of your brain, spinal cord and nervous system.

It seems to me that anyone suffering from Keratosis pilaris is also suffering from some kind of brain or nervous system related disorder. Does anyone agree or disagree...

New to website

I found this website by chance today. I am very excited with all the different information available. I suffer from KP and so does my 5 year old daughter. I have used everything under the sun to try to control it. Since the birth of my last child the KP has moved to my back, butt, thighs, legs. I have just made another appointment with the dermatologist, but can't get in for over a month. Would love some suggestions for me and for my daughter who has it on her cheeks.
