Lightbulb Bruising = Success

For all those who think that brusing is a side effect, think again...if you get a bruise treatment went well.

take a look at this: The light is absorbed by the redness in the blood vessel just beneath the surface. As the light is absorbed, it causes the blood vessel to heat up, the heat destroys the blood vessel and causes a bruise, which fades over the next 1-2wks.

It sounds pretty true to me. crusting and blisters. Yeah there real side effects that have no benefit.

u dont have to have bruising to get good results, I never bruised and been having good results. that phrase u pasted is refering to a spider vein (rosacea) its rupturing the blood vessel and turns purple like a clot. the same as if u pinch ur skin but dont break it turns purple and the body reasorbs the blood.

have u ever seen someone with a black eye from a fight or in a movie like example ROCKY, the area around the eye is not black its purple, same difference. the most bruising I ever had were 4-5 small pencil dot sized spots from PDL, in a few areas.

Exclamation Re: Bruising = Success

thanks Jason for pointing that out. a guess am getting me conditions mixed up, theres not alot of information on the web about KPRF...it's like dermatologists are relying on us sufferers to find a cure.

Re: Bruising = Success

well some derms know about it, and they still try and treat it like rosacea by getting rid of the redness which is iflammation around the hair follicles, but in rosacea its more about vessels.

thats why u should go to a derm MD, not NHS which is more a beauty spa.

try Ask.com Search Engine - Better Web Search and search for derms in ur country and area. click on the city link, and type in location (england) and buisness (dermatologists)

hi, im obviously not jason but i can tell you that most insurance companies do not cover cosmetic surgeries because for some reason they think they we chose to be born this way therefore it is our "choice" to get laser treatments. personally i think its bs and they should be covered by insurance but with a little searching you should be able to find a derm near you who offers laser treatments for a few hundred dollars (it really depends on the area you live in). good luck

ps i just had a test area done with the pdl v-beam laser and so far, so good
