Re: Vbeam?
thanks for that info, i just scheduled my appt with that new office on the 16th, its nice to save some money, plus the consultation is free which makes it that much better. I think I'm seeing someone named Dr. Wiederkehr, do you know anything about him?

Re: Vbeam?
Hi:
I just had two VBeam Perfecta treatments. The first one bruised in a couple spots for about 4-5 days and the second was gentler with no bruising, but definite redness that lasted about 4 days. I think both treatments lightened the redness and my skin on my face even looks smoother. Also, it seems the burning sensation isn't as bad now. I asked the dermatologist if the bruising would help but he said its better to space out the treatments with gentler settings because at too high settings the skin can collapse and pit(because the vessels feed the skin)? or something like that and I figured I better take his advice and be on the safe side. I'm older now so the redness is subsiding somewhat with age, but the VBeam I believe did help remove some of the blood vessel scarring. I'm not sure if I would get another VBeam treatment, though, because it looks like some centers are saying the GentleYAG lasers penetrate deeper or maybe I might look into the VersaPulse laser. Has anyone here tried either of these? I think maybe the VBeam worked somewhat for me on the surface vessels but there are some deeper vessels maybe a different laser might be better for. Also, hair removal may work, because that's where the redness is most noticeable on my face, but I hesitate because I am male and don't want to lose my beard because I kind of like the rough look it gives when I sometimes grow it out. Also, I was looking into laser hair removal and saw something how it comprimises the integrity of the skin and certain males were more likely to get certain types of (skin?) infections because of the treatments, but I don't remember where I read that. |
