PDL and it's effectiveness

I know results vary between each individual but roughly how many PDL treatments does it take before results show. i'm considering getting this done...i'm making changes in my lifestyle 1st before i do, to see if anything will make a slight decrease in the redness and flushing...then from there i will know that the matter is out of my control.
