Just found something interesting, I was reading about outer eyebrow hair loss and found it is a possible symptom of hyperthyroidism, also dry, flaky, scaly skin, heat intolerance and anxiety.maybe a connection? anyone know?

Adam,

This sounds interesting, though I don't know anything about a connection. Do you have the symptoms you list? If so, perhaps it would be possible for you to be tested for hyperthyroidism.

u would need to see an endocronologist, to have ur thyroid checked. there is also a big sypmtom of weight gain or loss, with either hyper, or sluggish thyroid problems.

lots have mentioned the PDL treatments working well for the redness but was wondering if IPL works just as well? then again i guess it depends on each individual

Re: my kprf

PDL!

7.0 to 7.5 joules (energy)
10mm (size of laser zap)
these settings work great, but need from 3 and up to improve. does not hurt!
IPL is ok but with the settings needed to improve hurts like hell!

Re: my kprf

Im telling from expeirence thats all, I had about 6 IPL's done and no difference. It seems IPL is excellent for actual blemishes on the face, say a blue vein or scar or whatever, but KPRF is down in the dermis along with the blood vessels that feed it, and out of 7 PDL's I noticed a great impovement after 3 treatments.

Paxil is another option, or combination of the 2 like I did. have you read ever read this post :
Flushing and Blushing treated with Paxil (paroxetine)

Cool Re: my kprf

yes i have read that. i have heard many negative things about paxil *of course i dont mean treating KPRF but treating anxiety* so a bit stand offish of taking it. will be asking and reading more info on it though as i can. well i guess i will have to see how my IPL sessions go and switch to DPL if it doesnt work. lots of money wasted though. story of life i think.

Re: my kprf

its working just as well as its always been, flushing/blushing is gone. no changes at all in weight or anything u might hear about. worked great for others to on the forum, but no one else comes back to share their results. I took it for anxiety due to KPRF, and to my surprise it took away the flushing/blushing, which alone relieved the anxiety.
