Re: KPRF Questionaire?
Great Questionaire Khrissy! - well done
Gender: f Age: 46 1. type of condition? KPRF 2. what triggers the condition? (if you don't no just say N/A) As my KPRF started to fade in my late 20's and is now pretty non-existant I will speak from experience. I believe the cause was genetics and hormones as appeared around 14 Triggers for blushing/flushing were going from a cold outside into a hot room Spicy food Just thinking about getting red Exercise 3. how many years you've noticed the condition? Proabably had it for about 10-15 years (ie. 14 to around 29) 4. has it got worse or got better? It has gone with age - same for KP bumps on arms. I must say however that retin-a cream I have being using for the last 5 years has helped 'smooth' my skin out so it may have helped what was a bit of residual KPRF 5. what treatments have worked? Because my family has a natural tendancy to high colouring it is hard to know if the redness in my cheeks is this or it is a leftover from KPRF. When I had PDL laser treatment for both UO and AV my whole cheek area was treated (not just tops of cheeks and eyebrows which these conditions affect). PDL did reduce the redness in this area. I should also mention here that increasing EFA's by eating more tinned fish such as tuna, eating avacodos and walnuts and taking the odd fish oil tablet has helped my skin also. But as I don't have KPRF anymore I am not sure if it would help that. 6. have you had laser treatment? (if yes please state any side effects or pain caused by the laser) Yes - two times in NZ 7. where was the location of the treatment? (country and town/state) Auckland and Dunedin 8. did the treatment work? Yes it did reduce the redness in my cheek area 9. how many sessions did you have? Two 10. what was the results (0=none, 10=very successful) 8 out of ten both times |
