darker skin camouflages flush. because tanning is a cosmetic procedure it couldn't stop flushing since you insist it isn't just cosmetic. make sense?

Can I ask you what do you feel when you flush?

If my kprf was only a cosmetic issue then when I flush I wouldn't feel nothing.. INSTEAD.. I feel hot and often I feel my skin burning...
For me (for you and for others maybe different however..) is this the most ugly thing of kprf.. IS NOT a cosmetic issue! feeling hot is not a cosmetic issue! feelings are not cosmetic issues!
i very rarely flush..flushing and kprf don't go hand in hand completely, all of the time. when i do flush> 90% of the time I don't notice it, but others may. on occasionally i'll feel warm to the touch...but it doesn't hurt me.

as i said, you can't expect a dermatologist to treat anything other than a cosmetic SKIN issue, as that is what they are trained to do--NOT treat FEELINGS; it'd be like going to a gynecologist for an earache.

NO.. for example.. I have tried auto bronzes creams and the effect is different.. with skin tanned I feel my skin better.. less sensitive.. I can't explain it..

i dont know if I explained myself well... I'm not saying that derm must treat feelings.. I think that our feelings are normal but is the skin that is not normal.. without this stupid kprf I would be sure that I didn't flushed. The problem is the skin not the brain... but however maybe that we have probably a different type of kprf because I notice flushing almost always..

Re: what moisturizers do you use and why

I have had KPRF and KPAF. I have found tanning does help. I live in a colder climate but when summer is here and I get outdoors a lot my skin is so much better. I always wear sunscreen on my face but somehow the sunshine still helps my skin.

I don't know if it is the vitamin D or what. This summer we had a lot of sunshine hours and my skin was the best it had ever been. However once the cold weather and lack of sunshine come back it tends to go backwards.

Here is a thread about normal KP and tanning - it seems quite common KP to improve with tanning.

Another Tanning Question
