So..What products shall I purchase ?
Basically i believe i have this KPRF. Initially i thought it was rosacea but another forum suggested its more like KPRF.
I really don't know what to do. I supose the redness on my face has got worse over the past 5 months as i have been constantly working in the outdoors as a land surveyor. Ive tried various products nothing has worked. I also believe i have had KP on upper arms, upper legs for a few years, but it is not much of a bother to me. Im not keen on having any laser/beam treatment nor do i wish to have the hair removed from my face permanently. All i want to do is use a product that consistantly reduces the redness aswell as covering it up. So what products do you guys use? Ive ordered the Clinique Almost Make Up purely to cover up the redness and the blend my skin to a natural colour, hopefully it turns up soon. In addition, my face is worse when shaved, therefore is there products that are specially designed for KPRF skin ? By the way ,im based in the UK Thanks for your time guys. ![]() |

avenno.com
aveeno moisturizing bar for washing face, and use a moisterizer cream that has very few ingriedients in it, dont go for the ones that have glycolic acid in it, use a more plain moisterizer by aveeno. and they have ultra calming shave gel for shaving. Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
glycolic acid WOULD be a good thing if they ever want to get rid of the bumps.

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
glycolic acid is OK, but its not meant to be used for a duration. and its better to use plain cleansers and moisturizers not to aggravate KPRF. KPRF does not go away with any fancy cream or cleanser or acids. but u might want to try PDL after u had enough. |

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
MY KPRF DID go away with continual use of glycolic acid and it was NOT irritated by it.

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
you've asked this question before and the answer is the same. yes. the redness and bumps are completely gone.
you may not have heard of it, and i'm sorry it didn't work for you, but i know i'm not the only one who has had such positive results. Last edited by missliss25; 03-27-2008 at 10:37 AM. |

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
Like I've said before, it doesn't seem plausable that flushing/blushing could be treated topically, perhaps I'm incorrect, but that being said, flushing and blushing isn't synonymous with KPRF, either, constant ruddiness and bumpiness is, and that is what the glycolic and salicylic acid got rid of in my experience. I very rarely flush these days (only in extreme weather).. mostly as a child I did.

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
it is a symptom of KPRF, but people experience it to greater and lesser extents...furthermore, someone could have a flushing/blushing problem WITHOUT having KPRF. the point is, the flushing/blushing comes and goes..the ruddiness and bumpiness is constant. the ruddiness and bumpiness is a surface and slightly-below the surface skin issue, while the flushing/blushing is below the skin and more internal. the fact that alcohol and emotions and other issues can spur flushing gives it a greater complexity.

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
the ruddiness is perrifollicular inflammation. the bumps are the spots of built of keratin. the flushing is the warm feeling, the blushing is the look. the face and ears are more vascular then the rest of the body, and the skin is thinner also compered to the rest of the body. thats why KPRF on the face is more red on the face then KP on the arm and legs, becasue the inflammation shows through the skin. and missliss this is not intended for only you its for the forum, so dont flame.

Re: So..What products shall I purchase ?
ruddiness implies redness. it isn't as if the redness goes away. it is always there, and that isn't "blushing" because blushing comes and goes. all i'm saying is, not everyone who has KPRF has flushing/blushing to the same degree and blushing and flushing doesn't always imply KPRF, either.
blushing and flushing are the same thing, by definition and are used interchangeably. one doesn't solely imply color and the other feel. site: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia: Skin blushing/flushing. Last edited by missliss25; 03-27-2008 at 09:00 PM. |
