everyone must understand that blushing/flushing is transient which means it comes and goes, PDL IPL, creams lotions, potions are not going to cure blushing/flushing, unless u fix where the blushing comes from, which is the central nervous system.

Paxil side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash or hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Contact your doctor promptly if you have any of the following side effects, especially if they are new symptoms or if they get worse: mood changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, irritability, agitation, aggressiveness, severe restlessness, mania (mental and/or physical hyperactivity), thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
  • seizure (convulsions);
  • tremors, shivering, muscle stiffness or twitching;
  • problems with balance or coordination; or
  • agitation, confusion, sweating, fast heartbeat.
Other less serious side effects are more likely to occur, such as:
  • feeling nervous, restless, or unable to sit still;
  • drowsiness, dizziness, weakness;
  • sleep problems (insomnia);
  • nausea, constipation, loss of appetite;
  • weight changes;
  • decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm; or
  • dry mouth, yawning, or ringing in your ears.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)

you think I dont know that there are possible side effects, that u have to list them from some link u found online. try reading the side effects for plain old tylenol or aspirin or accutane etc.. they are all scary, if everone took the POSSIBLE side effects that are rare and mainly which come at higher doses then nobody would take any meds, even if they depended on a certain med. !NO PROBLEMS HERE!

keep on blushing.

@ smeraldos: Thanks for sharing those side effects with us.
It is very important that our community know this information. We have also threads about AHA side effects and other drugs.

@ Jason1901: Thanks for contributing and sharing with us your experience with Paxil.

In every forum some people will agree with you, other's won't, so don't worry about it. It is an everyday situation.

That's what's great and cool about it, lots of people sharing opinions from around the world. I find it awesome that we can share no matter distance and cultural differences

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)

I tried to get on Paxil but my doc told me there were big withdrawal side effects so he put me on 10mg lexapro instead. Lexapro kinda leveled me out, calmed down my anxiety and depression during a stressful period, but kind of turned me into a zombie. It's possible I flushed/blushed less but at the cost of feeling like an emotionless zombie and also decreased sex drive. I quit after a week...would rather not deal with drug side effects. I suppose Im going to give that eucerin stuff a try again (i know it doesnt get rid of flushing/blushing but hey it helps the redness a bit).

i think it would be great to take the 20mg Paxil for a month or so then you will see the areas that PDL /IPL needs to treat.

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)

only Paxil 20 mg daily taken at night 2 hours before sleep. never felt like a zombie or had or have any sexual problems, nothing. and blushing/flushing stopped dead in its tracks! most side effects are at higher doses, my family doc wouldnt have me take it if he thought there would be any problems. it also corrects S.A.D. been taking it since DEC 07, the first 2-3 days u feel different because its the way u would feel when normal, and my blushing/flushing stopped after 4 days on.

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)

my skin is constantly red, both cheeks, and i flush like mad out of no where for NO reason.

last time i went to the doctor he laughed it off saying theres nothing wrong with me (bastard)

do you guys recomend i go back, see another doctor and ask for paxil ?

will they happily, quite easily give it to me ? or will i have a struggle ?

im so depressed, and suffering from social phobia as i have this redness.
