re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)
flushing and blushing cure! not KPRF cure, u need to have PDL treatments done to treat the condition that u are able to see without the flush/blush redness on top of the KPRF.
KPRF = redness KPRF+flushing/blushing = way more redness PDL = less and less redness with every treatment Paxil = less redness due to no more flushing/blushing since I had 5 PDL treatments so far and been taking Paxil since DEC 07, Im way less red than his picture, but he is on his way! I dont really know how to download or upload a personal picture of mine, but if had help I would. but Im going for another PDL treatment tommorw morning april 28th, so I wont be able to post picture anytime soon since u are kinda redder right after treatment temporary. but would still like instructions on how to post picture. |

Hiya Jason , how's was yout treatment ? Sorry to ask but could I have the name of your Derm in Philly please, I've had some sucess on the very high setting but would love to avoid the bruising by using the stacking method . The machine my derm uses leaves 4-5mm purpuric dots and it would be great to avoid these , thanks and good luck . Lee

that could be the way ur skin reacts to PDL.
where do u live ? u must be pretty wealthy to travel across a country to a dermatoligist, but good luck! ![]() |

Thanks Jason , I travel for a living and should be in Philly over the next few months so I'll try to schedule an appointment . I think you said you were 70% lighter after 2 treatments which is amazing and I've never had any Pdl 'stacked' so it might be a great option . Anybody having 'stacked' treatment be sure to find a good derm as it involves high total energy amounts and I would always reccommend a test patch for obvious reasons . If the setting is too high it can scar .

1-2 treatments is not going to be it, I just had my 5th PDL treatment yesterday! but I also take Paxil 20mg daily, which is what cured and stopped the extreme redness from flushing/blushing which Im glad to say free of now for 3 months. PDL stacking means a zap right after the 1st zap over the same spot then again all over any area being treated, 2 zaps over any area (cheeks). Last edited by jason1901; 04-29-2008 at 10:08 PM. |

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)
Dude.
How exactly does the PAXIL work in preventing you from blushing ? Its just im going doctors tomorow and i'll need to explain in detail why she should prescribe it. Last time she wouldnt give it to me. I told her im depressed but still NO. I think she wants me to say i wanna top myself or some thing! until i say that i dont think she'l give it to me. So please give me some hints on what i can say to get the drug .. Also, how much does it cost in the UK on the NHS if anyone knows ? How many do you get at a time ? and can you drink alcohol with the drug ? |

because KPRF makes u nuts, ur always thinking am I red, am I about to turn red, all the time. its a fear of being red (erthrophobia) its a real phobia look it up. and it make u self conscience about urself, shy, depressed, etc.... dude, I dont know the nuts and bolts of how it works to prevent blushing, but its predscribed for all those things I listed whether u have 1 of them or all of them, so by stopping that with Paxil u stop the flushing/blushing! basically anxiety, I never thought anxiety came in those forms but it does. and Paxil is presricbed for anxiety. Im not saying ur crazy, Im not either but it makes u feel bad about urself and cut off from others (KPRF) how old are u ? |

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)
Just got back, the doctor gave me citalopram instead of paxil.
She said it works exactly the same. You guys know anything about citalopram ? |

Comparison of Paxil (peroxitine) and citalopram.
Citalopram ( Cipramil, Celexa ) versus paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat ) |

re: Flushing and Blushing Cure! Paxil (paroxetine)
Wut guys. I have been eyeing this forum for a while now and I already have an unfilled prescription for paxil but doing a little added research I found that all these dudes are saying that permanent sexual dysfunction occurs with SSRI's and it has me very paranoid. Now a decreased libido would actually not be a bad thing for me cuz I am a horny bastard but the fact that I do drink alcohol also has me really depressed about going on this drug. I really want to be flush/blush free but If I can't perform up to my standards than Its not a great tradeoff. Whats the real deal?
