Trouble with red face

Hello, this is my first post here

First to say, I am a 20 year old boy(yea) from Denmark.
I'd also like to say sorry for this huge first post, and i
hope you can manage around it, because this really
means something to me.

I have always (or at least the few years) been anoyed
by my red cheecks. In reality, I know I got far less
problems than the majority of this planet, however that doesn't make it go away.
This weekend I woke up though. I am going to college
next year, and I thought it was time to do something about it.

I hate responding to people asking why my cheeks are
red. Sometimes they are actually not that bad, and
sometimes i can feel them heating up. Its not that
they are completely purple, but when its at worst
there is this very clear borderline between the white
skin and the red. It is only at my cheeks, and I am
not affected other places in the face really.

Surely I got those spots on my arms, but after I made
a nice little routine of exfoilating and moisturizing, its
actually not visible any more. I do take sun from time
to time, and sometimes i use self-tanner, to avoid
the sun. Of course self tanners work quite well, but when the engines are REALLY heating up its still
way too visible, and i suspect them becoming even
more red when I get anoyed of their redness hehe

The skin on the cheeks isn't that rough in my case. It feels like a baby's butt in reality, and especially after exfoilating looks quite smooth, with the exception of the redness. It looks nothing like this rosaria, and it
cannot be mistaken of acnea of any kind (I never really had acnea problems, either)

Its really making me feel bad this redness, and it doesn't really help on my rather low self-esteem.
Especially because I can really feel them warming up when talking with girls. Of course they could use that as an indicator hehe

Question section:
****

There is a few things i'd like to know. First up, I plan on visiting my doctor about it. I have seen there is a few laser clinics in my area, and i SUPPOSE they can help. Thats my first question

***
-do laser threatment help?

-Is it rather permanent, or would i have to do it several times a year, or maybe less?

Those were the laser questions. Next up:

-Is it OK to use face wash every day?

-Is it OK to exfoilate my face once a week when having this redness?

I use clinique and biotherm for the cleansing and exfoilating. The moisturizers are usually Instant moisturize gel from Hugo Boss (My skin does get a nice smooth look from it, especially at the cheeks. But colour stays), also use Biotherm, clinique and clarins as moisturizers (why all these? depends on the day and what i am doing.)
Here in the winther if i am not going to anything special, i use a nivea for men (not q10 anti wrinkle) because its a bit fatter, and that helps my skin in the winther.

- Are there anything wrong in using the above products to protect from red cheeks?

****
out of question section. I just read about oil pulling on this forum today and found a website with a guide. I am very focused on science, I am also currently working as a programmer (+ other stuff) at a company nearby, so i don't tend to believe in supernatural stuff. HOWEVER people say it works on their teeth, which is obviously possible as the oil has direct contact with them.

Though I still doubt that it would have any other effects, I still will try it. Because I also doubt it could hurt anything.

-Do anyone have success against facial redness and oil pulling, or is it just the normal keratosis they talk about?

Something different
-Is it a bad idea to take creatine when exersicing?
(looking at the Keratine and creatine it looks similar)

I am slightly overweight (but quite muscular), absolutely not in the danger-zone though. I recently began exersicing a bit more though, biking and such. Also drinking a lot of more water lately which leads to:

-will exersicing and lots of water(i hereby mean in the normal range of lots of water. 2-3-4 litres a day) help?

Of course when i have big muscles people look at them instead of my face. Maybe I should just tan enough to get red in the whole face haha :P

Anyway, thank you so much for reading this. An early merry xmas from denmark.

-Daniel

Re: Trouble with red face

Do laser treatments and you'll get rid of the redness. PDL is the best kind. Since it's a problem with blood vessels, any creams won't help.

Hi!

Allright. You wouldn't be able to tell me something about how many threatments I need, and if its more or less permanent?

Best regards,

Re: Trouble with red face

I have the exact same thing its been ruining my life since i was 12, i am now 19, when im fully relaxed im always pale, but when im in the process of doing something, or leading up to something or an event i get worried, anxious and annoyed about my face going red all the time, therefore just my cheeks (with a visible contrast between my whole face and my cheeks) which feel slightly rougher than everywhere else on my face.

Ive tried using euracin (which is very dear) but when im in the process of going red and blushing my cheeks tend to look purpleish.
Ive tried self tan which is ok but you can detect it in different lights of you do it wrong and get patches, which can make you look gay or something. I get extremely depressed and my personality almost changes because i try to avoid people. It also burns like some1 punishing you from inside. What makes it obvious is when it varies from cheeks being pale to dark red when i DONT want it to happen which makes it more of a worry for other people and me. Thease attacks usually last a few hours at a time, go normal again and thengradually go back again. Its like mental torture, checking to see if im red or not every half an hour if im at a social gathering etc.

I just wish there was a solution.

Re: Trouble with red face

Hi man. Just started laserthreatment TODAY! (here in denmark i get it over the health insurance).

Allready after the first threatment i can actually see something changed. I just took a bath 4 hours after, and i was less red and in a less big area. (I usually blush up really much when bathing, so this was a bit of a test. Also my parents noted the difference)

I still got 5 threatments left at least in this round, and the clinique said they could help me. They can't remove it completely (hey who wants to look completely pale. And btw, girls like a little blushing i suppose )

About self tanning, well i think you need to try a lighter self tan (or another brand). There really needs only little tan to get it looking much better (Personally i'm fond of Hugo Boss healthy skin face lotion, but its not exactly cheap. Another i also enjoyed was Clarins Men auto bronzant visage, which gives a rather nice and solid but not too angry tan. I'm light skinned and choose subtle products)

So all i gotta say is: go to your normal doctor and complain about your cheeks. My doctor then referred me to a skin specialist who's now taking care of my red cheeks

So cheer up, there ARE ways to help it!

I don't remember 100% what he said but he did say the phrase Rubra Facei a few times hehe.

I found some pics from my last summer holidays on Cuba (of course the sun had a bit impact on the whole skin, but these pics are from the first days so not that affected)

at both of the pics i'm pretty blushed up (hey the cuban girls a pretty, don't blame me )

reminds me, 9462, don't let it ruin your life. Have fun anyway
