Im a teenager and i have this problem that for no reason, my cheeks turn bright red and feel really hot for several hours. It usally starts when i get home from school and i sit on the computer then doesnt go away till i go to bed. It seems to only happen when im at home. At school it only happens sometimes like when im nervous or stressed. I also blush very easy. It started at 13 years old at the start of secondary school. So i was thinkking about hormones and stuff like that.

Does anybody know what it is and maybe how i could prevent it?

Just so we can get an idea on what is happening can you fill us in on the following:

do you have small red Keratosis pilaris bumps on the tops of your arms?

Can you think of a trigger that makes your cheeks red at home i.e. do you bike home from school? is your house really warm inside and the air outside cold?

Do you have any small bumps on your face or roughness? When your skin is calm does it look completely clear of bumps?

Because redness can be from so many things and not just keratin disorders the above questions might help pinpoint what is going on.

I walk home from school, its not far about 10 minutes. My house is generally warm and outside is cold.. considering its england But its wierd cause i go through like periods when it doesnt happened for like weeks, then it would come back again.

do you have red bumps on the top of your arms?

your probably allergic to something, my guess would be either shell fish, animals, feathers [maybe in your feather down jacket or feather down pillow] or maybe its dairy.

well what do i know. im just guessing.
