I read on the internet in many different places about vitamin A linked to KPRF it definatly cause skin problems and hair loss, but curious how much is true when it comes to our condition. so I had my family doctor give me a script to have a blood test done for vitamins: Vit A, Vit E, Cat, Mg, B12, Folic acid. I had KPRF since I was 14 now 28, I also read its linked with allergies asthma, and rhinitis (nasal) which I had when I was about 5-8. so hopefully it will let us know because I never heard of anyone be checked for Vit A if their is a symptom of deficiency or has KPRF to see what the results are. I will go either tommorrow or later in the week I should have results from test.

I am , thats why I posted this. but it KILLS me no one here ever had this done but everone talks about it, vitamin a and kprf link! its not that hard to have done.

I just got back from the blood test, I should get my results explained to me from my doctor with a copy by Wed.

Idid not forget abot the results, but I only got back some of the results from my test the b12, magnesium etc. etc., the vitamin A and E take a little longer so by Sat the latest I will know the rsults of the vitamin A levels.

looks like it takes longer than i thought, sometime after Turkey day i should know. i didnt forget.

well so much for that experiment, vitamin A is completely normal, its right in the middle range where its supposed to be. so i dont see any need to use vitamin A as any kind of treatment for KPRF, and the whole carrot juice thing which i never tried probally does not work if your vitamin a is normal, you would just be getting too much vitamin a which can be toxic. but If i were some people who believe vitamin A can help then you should have a blood test done to check if you have a defiency.

Too bad no possible cure, but now we know one more thing that doesn't work and doesn't need to be tried anymore. That's a lot. Thanks for having this test done and then for sharing the results!

I don't have any vitamin deficiencies (been tested) and am completely healthy in every way, aside from KPRF so no... no direct vit a link..at least not completely. there has to be other deciding factors.
