if I were you I'd see metal health specialist. High heart rate and blood pressure can be caused by anxiety (you wrote that you're anxious). It also can make your facial redness worse.

I agree with kk_k about seeing a mental health specialist. Don't take this as an attack against you. Anxiety stress and depression will cause many problems so they are important problems to try and solve.

As for lifestyle changes, exercise seems to help me. When you first start exercising, you will flush hard while exercising and maybe be a little more red for a few days after, but in a few weeks you will stop flushing when you exercise and your skin will look a little bit better and the redness will be a tad bit less. Move to a humid place if you can! I have been living in a VERY humid place for the past few months (Japan) and my cheeks are 80% clear and I never flush anymore.
That's all I can think of now.

By the way, your question is an excellent example of why this board should do the information consolidation project.

Lightbulb Results.

thanks, by the way i'd just like to mention that i have had success with drinking cold water...the colder the better, what this does is keeps your body heat down which reduces flushing...it is also a very important factor in maintaining health and fitness, i've noticed that my cheeks are a lighter shade and about a small but hopeful 10% decrease in the affected area's. A combination will be better.

My Summary:
try and drink 4-6ltrs of water a day, alter this depending on fitness levels.
try and get all those vitamins and minerals from whole foods, if not try a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement (tablet)
try to get at least 3 days of about an hour long activity a week. (e.g weight training, cardio-vascular or a sport)
try to remain calm in stressful situations, think about relaxation techniques/breathing techniques.

i'll keep you updated on any more results. if theres anything you want to add feel free.

http://www.rosacea-ltd.com/lifestyle.php3 - try and read this, i know we haven't got rosacea, but theres similarities between the two.
