Eucerin Redness Relief Kit: A Documentation

I know there have been many questions on the effectiveness of the Eucerin Red Relief system URL: http://tinyurl.com/bkyex. Perhaps because it is the only kit (that I have seen) to improve the conditions of a red face, and even Rosacea. So far, I haven't seen anyone post much about it. While I was out today, I went by CVS and picked up the trial size kit. This comes complete with miniature bottles of everything listed on the homepage for the kit. So, over the next few days/weeks (however long this stuff lasts me) I will post detailed descriptions of what it has done to my face. I cannot include pictures, as my Mac's built in camera makes everything pale, thus making my face look normal (but I will have DETAILED descriptions).

Facial description:
when I am not having a flare up, my cheeks are just a bit pinkish, but the color is not evenly distributed. During a flare up (alcohol, temp. changes, embarrassment, harsh light, etc. are triggers) my cheeks turn a brighter and deeper looking red. This color is not evenly distributed.

More posts will follow (everyday, or every other day)

Day One

Last night I did he facial cleansing, and then applied the "soothing nighttime lotion". The cleanser burnt a bit at fist (not painful, just noticeable) but seemed to clean my skin very well. The cleansing must be done twice a day, once at night, and once in the morning. After I dried my face, I applied the soothing night cream. It smelled a bit acidic (faintly like vomit) but didn't burn at all. It made the warm sensation my face usually has go away. This morning, I cleansed my face again, and applied the daytime lotion (it's spf 15, and I noticed my face didn't react as badly to light as it normally did). This lotion is green, which counteracts the redness. After the lotion seeped in, I applied the concealer (basically a money-green creamy mascara... I'm male, this is sad lol) which made my face look "normal", something I had never seen before. After one day of use, my face was not red at all for the first half of school, but over time, the lotion and concealer wore off a bit. My face returned to being redish, but not AS red as before. In fact, I am happy with the improvement so far. it says it takes 4 weeks to make your face look normal, but probably more for people with more sever cases.

Summary (for you lazy bastards)
- Cleanser makes your face red, but cleans it.
- Nighttime lotion smells gross, but you wash it off in the morning
- Daily lotion is money-green, helps reduce the visible redness, but not the warm feeling.
- Concealer is a pale mascara type thingy, but works VERY well.

Have you noticed...

...that the green spf 15 stuff is visible and gets more visible throughout the day? I tried it and it seemed to leave a white residue. I am also a male so maybe i just don't know how to apply it properly. I did follow the instructions.

DAY THREE

Essentially the same as day one... not much of a difference. I do notice that I don't get as embarrassed about my face, therefore it's not as red as usual. Probably psychological effects of me not thinking my face is red.

Redsox: The redness becomes more visible throughout the day (through the green lotion) probably because of sweat. I'm not getting the residue, but it's most likely because you're using too much and not rubbing it in enough.

what do you do...

...with that little pen type thing? It seems as though it's just for touching up?

ONE WEEK, ONE DAY
It's been about the same, I attempted to tan yesterday and ended up getting a burn. I like how the daily perfecting creme is SPF 15, and all the products really help sooth my skin. 2 weeks, 6 days to go until I get "normal" skin (according to the package).

Redsox: Excuse my lack of knowledge about makeup lol. It's a brush type thing that goes in a tube of green paste. It's for "touching up" but you have to spread the small amount you applied with your finger, or else you will look like a stalk of celery.

Ok, it has been about three weeks now. I have noticed improvements... but nothing remarkable. I do recommend this kit however, because there is not a whole lot of other options...

Re: Eucerin Redness Relief Kit: A Documentation

Well, Kebod asked me to talk a little bit more about Eucerin Redness Relief, so I'm going to do it. I'm not posting on this thread: Collection of Success Posts for Reducing Redness because I don't think I actually have a "sucessful history" about KPRF: I'm not cured and I'm not satisfied about how my skin is nowadays.

Anyway, I've been using Eucerin Redness Relief Daily Perfecting Lotion SPF 15 daily for the last 7 months. It's the best thing to conceal redness that I've found so far, but it didn't cure my KPRF and it didn't make the redness to disappear.

When it comes to redness improvement, I don't like using percentages, but what I can tell is that if I'm using it for 7 months daily, it's because I certainly think this product helps me (and I have tried some creams and sunblocks prescribed by dermatologists before trying the Eucerin product I'm talking about right now). And I noticed that it works better for permanent redness than for flushes.

I apply the product once a day, in the morning, usually more or less 1 hour after taking a shower. A small amount is enough and you don't need to reapply it during the day.

For better results: 1) shake the bottle before using the product; 2) if you have small bumps on your face (I believe many of you, like myself, have them, since where talking about KPRF), put the product in a region of you face where you don't have the bumps (in my case, the area close to the eyes doesn't have bumps), then spread it, from that area, to the rest of your face. Doing it this way, you avoid small white dots that are created when you aplly the product directly on the bumps.

The product is confortable on the skin and it's not greasy (therefore it doesn't make your skin look "shiny").

I also used other products of the Eucerin Redness Relief line:

1) cleanser: I use it daily, but I don't think there's anything special on it (I don't intend to buy it again when I finish the bottle)... it's better than regular soaps though.
2) night cream: didn't work for me, so I'm not using it anymore.
3) Redness Reducing Concealer (pen-shaped one): my skin got TOO white... didn't like it.

Well, guess this is it. If anyone has any questions, fell free to ask. My English is not very good, but I'll do my best!

Re: Eucerin Redness Relief Kit: A Documentation

I forgot to say one more thing: for better results, it's also good not to apply Eucerin Redness Relief Daily Perfecting Lotion too long after shower.

Re: Eucerin Redness Relief Kit: A Documentation

Hi iceman.

I realize you are using this for KPRF, not just normal KP right?
Well I don't have KPRF on my face because I don't have facial blushing.
But I do have a patch of KP bumps on the side of my cheek/jawline.
The bumps are pinkish-reddish.
I've read everything you've posted here, but I'm still not sure if this will help with just normal KP on my face.
What are your opinions?
Should I try it?

Also, have you tried using Coconut oil, or Tea Tree Oil?
I hear they both help with redness, and wasn't sure if you knew.
Maybe try it, sorry if it doesn't work.
Good luck with all this, I know it can be stressfull.
