The mind and body are not two different things, they are linked together...as everyone well knows that our brain controls everything. So here it goes:
  1. Stress And Anxiety - a main factor for the flare-ups is the worry of getting one, by now KPRF knows your weaknesses...it is a progressive disease where the mind is concerned and of course the more anxious and stressed you are the worse your case will be. My Recommendations - a lifetime of Beta-Blockers, daily Meditation which has more than one benefit, ETS Surgery or Hynotherapy - i must warn you that with medication you may experience side effects - Hypnotherapy and Meditation would be the best.
  2. Internal - i undersatnad that carrot juice is tha main man. My Recommendations - drink plenty of Water, take all the daily amounts of Vitamins and Minerals a day and cut down on junk food as it does play a big part in acne so it will affect other skin diseases as well.
  3. External - well not much needed to say here. Coconut Oil.
  4. Tips for the future - keep fit and slim, fatty tissure is greedy when it comes to skin moisture...it won't let the bloody stuff get to where it's needed most lol.

Arrow I Would Recommend!!

well if you want really good benefits i would recommend you to, or even decreasing the amount of tabs and alcohol would help. its the tabs really, because as you well know tabs are no benefit to the skin...it dries the skin out.

There is so much wrong with your list I don't even want to get started on it. You've made some pretty wild claims in your other posts that seem to make no sense aswell. Your also the only person with KPRF in the world that has oily skin. I think you've had too many winky smilies.

i agree with her

no, i actually happen to agree with her. Stress is involved.....my kp always get worst when i'm really stressed. Vitamins and minerals and healthy eating is a must. kp comes back when i eat dairy/sugar/chocolate. And carrot juice/beta carotene is very improtant....but in limited dosages. Many people with kp have a vita a deficiency.

Khrissy,

I'm backing you up there as I also have KPRF with oily skin (T-zone area). I agree with pretty much all of your list but would warn people that with any drug/medication, side effects are involved.

I took beta blockers for quite a while, and while they did help with some stress and anxiety, some of the side effects were unbearable. I've been med free for about a year now and have been doing quite fine without them. So a reminder as it is possible to deal with this condition without the use of medication.

A reminder that any type of surgery such as ETS is irreversible as far as I know. Before having any type of permanent treatment done, please do your fair share of research as well as talking with several doctors about the treatment.

I have to agree with Accordude, Khrissy you make some wild claims with little evidence for support. Please completely understand what you are saying, I agree with you on Vitamin A, it does have a strong correlation with kp, thats why Im taking Murad Clarifying Skin Supplement because the first ingredient is Vitamin A as beta carotene. As far as hypnotherapy and fatty tissue, you are on your own.

Arrow Well...!!

Hypnotherapy removes stress and anxiety for starters, a major cause of flare-ups. but not just that...type these into www.google.com and read:

Skin Disorders And Hypnotherapy
Skin Diseases And Hypnotherapy
Skin Conditions And Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy And Skin Disorders
Hypnotherapy And Skin Diseases
Hypnotherapy And Skin Conditions

If you did your homework you would know these things already, i am not saying this will cure you...i am just pointing out some treatments and to be honest i have never heard hypnotherapy mentioned on this forum until i joined.
