I have two cousins who have a genetic disorder and can't walk. As bad as things are....the funny thing is....we still take things for granted and look at everyone else and say they take their blessings for granted. As bad as you think things are...imagine if one day you couldn't walk anymore....

Ive had red cheeks and bumpy arms legs and butt for ever and just found this website last week!! I couldnt beleive this was a real thing that other people experience too!! Both my sister and i have it.. just though we had red cheeks and didnt exfoliate properly. At high school it was pretty hard for both of us.. kids can be cruel.!!
Im 24 now with a 10 month old baby and i still cop comments like "Gee.. youre face is red!" (NO ****!!)
Make up can cover it farely well but it would be nice to not have to wear makeup.. i do feel sorry for you guys that cant wear make up!
My baby has the red cheek already and is alreday getting comments like "oh.. she must be teething" and "she has red cheeks.. she must eat lots of vegiemite" - which i got heaps though my life (im from australia). Hopefully i can just teach her to be strong and not take **** from anyone.... you can be annoyed with it but you cant let it control your life.. cause in the end nobody cares if you have red cheeks or pimply arms.. peolple that give you **** are just trying to cover up and make themselves feel better about there own insecurities!

I Agree!

You're right.

Soon I will be going through some laser treatments for my KPRF and hopefully it will work. If it takes away the bumps and reduces the redness so it ATLEAST "looks" natural, then I will be the happiest man on earth... until it comes back...

Using makeup and concealers don't bother me. You can useually only see very faint redness showing through. I am a male, and if I can wear makeup that women would buy I'll do it to save some face! Hahaha, I love puns!

I am going to post back to all of you about the laser treatment for KPRF. Pray for me.

Thanks!

Here is something I posted a while ago. (If you ever need to feel better read this!)
No, I'm not suicidal. But I have KPRF and it is pretty bad. It looks as if there are Jelly Doughnuts stuffed under my cheeks. I am very self concious because of KPRF. At times I look at myself in the mirror and see my nice olive toned skin, but as I look up to my face I see big red patches of corned beef stuck to my ****ing face.

I have troubleble dealing with people because of this plague. I carry a small mirror arond with me where ever I go to see if the lighting is ideal, I can't look into peoples eyes because I am afraid to lift my head for fear of people seeing my gross face. I even wear concealers to hide the redness, but I can still sense that people think something is wrong with me.

I have come to realize that it is societies fault for making me feel that way.

Maybe if the ****ing world could deal with it, I could too.

I look at other people and see their smooth facial skin that plays with the light nicely. It is even toned, not oily, free of acne, and without the horrid red bumps of KPRF. THEY DONT ****ING REALIZE HOW ****ING LUCKY THEY GOT OFF! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL, WHILE I AM UGLY AND WHEN ONE THING POPS UP ON THIER ****ING FANCY FACE THEY GO GET IT ****ING LASERED OFF FOR 3000 ****ING DOLLARS! GO CRY ME A RIVER AND BUILD A DAMN BRIDGE ACROSS IT YOU ****ING *****! I HAVE PUT UP WITH MORE **** THAN MOST PEOPLE DO IN A LIFE TIME.

Sorry, I needed to vent. If anyone feels similarly to the way I do just respond with a YES.

-Phil

Thing is though, in reality, everyone's issues are relative to their own situation. If a person can walk, and the thing that makes them miserable is KPRF, then someone else being unable to walk doesn't really register. That's life.

I have large breasts, I hate them. Someone else with small breasts might think I'm being ridiculous as she is about to pay £'000s to get hers enlarged. I think she is ridiculous, why would she want to walk around with those attached to her chest all day etc etc. It's all relative.

That said, coming to this site made me realise I got off lightly with my KP just being on my arms.
