How often do you experience facial flushing?

I'm posting this question because sometimes its the flushing that I wish I could get rid of and other times its the redness. When I'm experiencing a bad flushing episode (constant flush for several hours) I would definitely love to live without the flushing.

So how often do you flush?

For me sometimes I can go several weeks without flushing which is great. But for the most part it can be several times a day or several times a week.

Your thoughts?

Prager I usually flush when there is something that irritates it. This can be sun, cold, wind, a hot room, certain social settings, and even stress when Im taking a test in college. I notice that I flush less when the weather is cool. I also used to blush alot in highschool because I was embarassed of my disorder, but I have gotten better. I couldnt really tell you how many times a week, it depends. The other night I drank some alcohol and got a little tipsy which gave me a bad flushing episode.

Blushing/Flushing

Hi guys,

I only recently found this group and realized that my red face discoloration is KPRF. I usually turn red when I am embarrassed (very easily), when I got outside where there is the slightest bit of wind, when it is cold out, when I laugh really hard (everyone likes to point out how red my face gets...::Sigh:. Also when I drink or like, make out, my face gets red. And if I do heavy exercise, it turns PURPLE, no joke. Is this still related to KPRF or is it something completely different and normal?

It sounds very familiar to Kprf. The 'elements' make kprf flare up, when I go to the gym is irritates the cheeks alot. Is your entire face red or is it just your cheeks? If your entire face is red you may have rosacea as well.

Groovy,

All that you explained sounds very familiar to me as well. It is kinda frustrating because it does seem as if something else is going on aside from the skin. I mean what does laughing really hard have to do with our skin. It's just stress and laughing hard is good stress. So why can't our skin seem to handle either good or bad stress? And why does stress seem to affect our skin so much more than someone with average skin? What else is going on inside of us that makes this stress so hard to deal with? How can we reduce this stress?
