Afraid I didn't take before pics - I'd send you after pics but my KP is in a place I would rather not show the world!

KPRF is on a distinguished road
People please calm down and and respect others on this forum and thier opinions. Nobody knows the exact reasons and causes of kp and kprf. If they did none of us would be on here. For some reason though some of us seem to think we do have all the answers and dismiss anything anyone else puts forward. This attitude won't get us anywhere.

For me personally I do think there could be a link between demodex and skin conditions like kp for example. A parasite which lives in human hair follicles and feeds on our sebum and deposits waste in the follicles, could well cause an inflammation or an acute reaction because of this.

I have been using the zz cream for nearly 3 months now and am very impressed with the results. More than any other treatment i have tried (which is lots!). The appearence of my skin is a lot better and the severity of my redness and flushing has reduced greatly. I will continue with this treatment and keep everyone up to date on how it goes.

Demodex may not be the underlying cause of our condition but it may be an aggravating factor towards it. For this reason i will keep an open mind to tackling it as a treatment option.

I know everyone is frustrated with this affliction but please lets all be positive and try to be courteous to each other as we try to overcome it.

Peace out

If you believe in this Seabuchthorn-stuff, you might wanna test this: http://www.seabuckthorn.com/rosacea.htm

expensive, but it could be worth it if it works...

janeyjaney, I've read the discussion and your last post, and wanted to ask you IF you have KPRF or not or just KP. It's important because face has a very delicate skin and people must be very careful using mites products!

Someone should give these high quality Seabuckthorn treatments a try because it seems to be an untapped treatment on this site. If we come across treatments that may provide improvement based on the little educated experience we have about this disorder, we need to try it. No one knew about the demodex mite treatments and those have turned out to be a partial success.

I have a crazy theory, and its because of alcohol. Last saturday i went to a party and had a few too many drinks, and later that night and early that morning i began to feel sick...nothing new. However, alcohol is a poision right, and by drinking it, it goes into your body and bloodstream or whatever. And when i was intoxicated i realised my redness on my checks had decreased increadibly. My theory is that maybe since these so called 'mites' are meant to live of us, they copped a taste of my alcohol, and somehow affected them, possibly poisioned them, maybe even killed some of them =s
and when i recovered, the redness began to eventually appear again.
Its crazy, but it could be possible. Apparently alcohol is meant to flare up the redness with some people, maybe it has to do with what u drink? like flaming shot, and really really stong stuff....i was just drinking jim beam and always have, and it really has never affected me.

Alcohol increases the redness, it doesn't matter what you drink, beer, wine, tequila... all same

Hi Jet.

That is a crazy theory but I couldn't help to think about my very recent experience too. So I went to the beach for the weekend and forgot to take my BBW Eucalyptus Lotion (which by the way has been working very good so far) and I noticed my kp to be acting up again. So on Sat. we began drinking in the morning and did not stop till 4am Sunday. Needless to say, I had a terrible full day of hangover. But for the next day and half my skin was soft. I hadnt put two and two together but now that you mention it .....

Anyway, as to what type of alcohol I drank that night, well its hard to remember but this is some: Beer, Sex on the Beach, Margarita, Wine, and some beer/energy drink.

It is great to see so many of us contributing to a discussion, it is sometimes hard for people to get their meaning across in a text/email/post, but I think we all have good intentions at heart. I think it is helpful that some of us stay objective & some of us explore these more radical theories & that we keep our ideas flowing between the two. Ying & Yang. I think it would be even more helpful if we can try to put as much information about why we feel a certain way to try to make it so that nobody takes it as a personal attack. Because I believe if a person didn't care they wouldn't post & I truly appreciate everyones posts.

This is the link of somebody who is cured with the demodex cream, but i don't know if this is kprf but it looks like it is kprf. I think i will try this cream also. It takes a long time but how longer you wait how longer it takes to heal this HELL!!!!
