haha holy ****, this is what i was going to post about this sat!! I was looking in this book at the library called "The handy bug answer book" and it stated that a little mite called demodex can make hair fall off of dogs!! and causes hair to fall off of eyebrows in humans and "causes a skin condition similar to acne". I think the main ingredient in it is metronadizole (3%!!) which kills the mite. metro-gel has only .75 percent..

98% of the people in the world have these mites. if your immune system is too weak (or in hyperdrive) it gives you the symptoms of KP, acne rosacea and eyebrow hair loss (and eyelash! eek). The mite is also contagious! which makes me believe that kp CAN be contagious through this little mite.. After birth, the mother gives it to the baby within the first few hours.. or vice versa like if you adopt.. well any kind of skin contact for a long time (making out or anything like that.. lol)

I think this is the place located in china right?? Can you order it in the US? because metronadizole is a prescription medication

Yeah I posted on that site with the picture. I am going to order the products and see how it goes.

I believe this could be a cure, as nothing else has helped.

I am not too conviced about this theory that we have mites. I dont have the symptoms that it describes, Itching in face or head..

does anybody else believe this works? who else here has tried this and been successful for the KP?

what about the eucalyptus oils and sulfur soaps? Do these products kill the mites? What about medicated selson blue shampoo? It has some sort of sulfur in it. Tanning booth operators have told some friends in the past that it would kill skin fungus from the beds.?? Has anyone heard of that?

sounds interesting!

Hi everyone, these articles about mites and demodex sound really promising.
I'll try to find something to fight those micro-follicle-parasites other than these chinese products. Seems like some of the stuff we use that work for KP works for demodicosis (Demodex folliculorum aka follicle mites) as well.
Anyways, seems to me to be at least helpfull...

Greetings and good luck everyone,

Marky

I have read some of the results from the forum listed above and I have to say this is the most promising thing I've heard in a while that might treat KPRF.

There is something on the site what's interesting :

Demodex mites are more active in the dark. They are genetically programmed to surface in the evening to breed, probable to increase there survival chances (host is sleeping).
This explains why the tickle/itch gets worse in the evening. There is much more movement on the surface of the skin at that time.

That's maybe why the flushing becomes worse in the evening

good point nahpeh, was exactly what i thought. If there is some wierd little parasite living in our hair follicles (supposedly the root of our condition) then it would explain alot. I hope anyone who tries this chinese cream posts up thier results.

I am wondering if this has anything to do with the itching attacks that i get from time to time. Sometimes during spring my skin itches everywhere and i always thought it was dust mites. After i wash the sheets, and vacuum throughly it becomes better. So carpets has always given me problem. Anybody had similar problems?

I have purchased the creams as well and I will post my results once I start treatment. The cream is expensive but it might just be a breakthrough product for treating KP/ KPRF.
