I read the website suggesting 1 oz water/8 oz enzymes. I was thinking of purchasing the 8 oz bottle b/c it's the cheapest. Is that enough for a month or so of 2-3x day application, do you think?

xcvb-An 8 oz. bottle of enzymes would make about a 1/2 gallon - 1 oz enzymes to 8 oz water. I use a smaller squirt bottle to mix and saturate a cotton pad. If you have larger areas, you could also use a spray bottle. How much area do you have to cover? If it is face and upper arms, it would be enough. If it is your entire body, probably not. Good luck and keep us posted. I wish you the same success we've had!

I visited the Demodex site, and I have some questions about the creams and washes. First, which products are the ones that are supposed to help the KPRF? I read earlier in this thread that the facial wash and zz cream are suggested. Does this mean the "Zhongzhou Zinc oxide" cream and the "Foam acarid removing face wash"? I just want to get this straight before I go ahead and place my order. I hope things go well with these products, I'm running out of things to try.

Yes Nak 5 you are correct about the creams and washes. Those are the ones we are all using. Buck I agree with you, if these creams and washes dont work I am done. I have put so much of myself into trying new things. I have not purchased the XMFL cream, do you think it is required? I am using the wash twice a day and the ZZ cream at night and I think this WILL work after a couple months if I stick to it. I might start taking carrot juice too. I hope we all have success with these creams. We ALL need to keep eachother updated on any progress we see. Hopefully we will keep this thread going for awhile.

Nak, you are best to use the soap or face wash, which ever you prefer, the XFML cream and the ZZ cream.

Dick, I would personally reccomend the XFML cream, as you are also fighting and killing the mites in the day and with the ZZ cream at night, But make sure you wash off the XFML cream with the soap/wash before applying the ZZ. The XFML cream also brings moisture to the face, because the ZZ can be drying. Drink lots of water and have a glass of Carrot Juice and sneak in some fruit and veg here and there. Im not being lazy but it can be hard work sticking to the routine but if you remember all those situations that we have all been in and the confidence we have lost, it keeps you going.

Lets keep in touch and beat this bastard.

I did have a couple of spots on my cheeks last week but this build up of excess sebum on the face may be due to the mites being killed off according to the demodex website. Hi KPRF how is your progress currently going with the ZZ cream? It sounds like so far it is going really good for you. Also did you only buy the ZZ cream from that website or another product too? Thanks.

Well here is an update on my progress. 3-4 days into the treatment of the ZZ cream only applied heavily at night and lightly at the beginning of the day.

I have not expected immediate results, and have not seen any right off the bat. I have had some rather extreme drying of the screen and have now added heavy mosturization to my regimen. A few things that have been encouraging is a change in the defined blotchiness of the redness. The redness has become extremely defined in my frontal cheek area, but the blochiness in the middle has seemed to expanded and changed shape.

I do not know if this change in shape of the blotchiness is a sign of the medication working, or if it is merely an illusion caused by the increase in redness caused through excessive dryness. We will have to wait and see

Hi,
I'm still pleased with the progess of this treatment. My flushing has reduced in frequency and severity and permanant redness appears to be less noticable. My skin has never felt this smooth or clear either. I will wait till I make my final judgment till the full reccomended 3 month treatment period is up.

Wow!!! I can't believe it!! I actually just found the best remedy ever for KP. I have had this all my life and it truly does suck. Well, Arbonne has a product called Arbonne Intelligence Exfoliating Masque with Thermal Fusion and I have used it along with their NutriMinC Re9 Anti-aging line on my face and my skin is porcelain now....BUT I never thought of putting the masque on my arms until now and OH MY GOD!, it felt so good and it's totally working. It contains unripened papaya, which has an enzyme that actually seeks out dead skin and eats it away. Your skin turns red and hot, whoch means it's working amd eating away the dead skin! I don't normally post on these forums but I couldn't pass up helping someone else. You can email me if you need info on obtaining this product! Trust me! It's amazing and I've used it all before!!!

Christina,

Have you been using the product for the KPRF on your face or do you just have KP on your body? I'm interested.

Arms and face

Well, I've been using the products for my face for about 6 momths and although i didn't really have KP on my face, I still used to have little bumps here and there on my face which have since totally cleared up. But just in the last week I have been using it on my arms and it's amazing!! As you know, KP is like having a bunch of dead skin that needs to be sloughed off. I remember a Buf Puf working a little bit years ago but this is amazing and I wanted to tell everyone about it. I makes my arms red and hot, which means it's working and immediately after you can see results.

xcvb - I stopped for about a week because it wasn't clearing the KP 100%. We were at about 90%, and I started wondering if the improvement really was from the enzymes, or if she was just continuing to improve from the cleanses we did this past winter/early spring. Since last fall (before the enzymes) her legs cleared up 100% and her face cleared up about 90%, but her arms remained pretty bad.

As Rachel18 believes, I also believe it is something that needs to be approached internally. If the enzymes truly were working, then I'd rather correct the problem in her system that's allowing the KP to occur, rather than treat the symptoms. If this is a mite causing it (and I still believe it is caused by a parasite or some type of bacteria), then why does the mite flourish in the first place? That is what I want to correct.

Well, after stopping the enzymes for about a week, she did get a bit worse, so I did start with the enzymes again. But I'm also trying something else -many people on this list have stated some success with applying spearmint/eucalyptus-based lotions. Both of these are used as anti-parasiticals, anti-bacterials, and anti-fungals. So I started wondering if taking spearmint internally would help kill off/push out whatever is causing the problem. That is what we are doing now. We are using Premium Greens, a greens food supplement, which has spearmint in it. But I plan on making a trip to the health food store to get a spearmint extract or spearmint powder. Again, I'll keep this list posted with the results.

Did you ever get the enzymes? How are they working for you?

Christina and Dora, Im glad you guys are finding new ways to treat KP but this thread is focusing on treating KPRF. Please know the difference. Redness is our first priority, not bumps- we can live with the bumps.
