Yeah I have already got the creams KPRF. Ordered them when I started the thread.
I ask because there is a routine that is recommended with these products. Soap in the morning, XFML then soap and ZZ cream at night. Thats what I use, just wondering what routine you were using. |

Any chance of seeing some before and after pictures KPRF?
Edit: Here is why I think this could be our best bet for a solution. It fits in with other solutions which havn't completely worked: 1) KPRF is an immune system disorder - Mites could certainly trigger an immune system response. 2) KPRF can be treated with anti-inflamatory medication: Tritinol (spelling) and other anti-inflammatory creams have been said to aid a little in reducing the reddness showing that this is an issue of the inflammation not the bumps themselves. 3) The bumps of KPRF are not the source of the redness, the inflammation/skin irritation IS. (We all know that the redness surrounds the bumps and is not actually a formation of many tiny red bumps. 4) KPRF inherited/outgrown/better/worse inconsistancy. From all my limited research and personal experience it seems as if KPRF is a far more volatile condition than regular KP regardless of the treatment plan you take. 5) Common themes with KPRF developing later in life: You always hear about KP or especially KPRF developing after some tramatic event which could potentially weaken ones immune system and allow these mites to flourish. Pregnancy, new acne medication, all could tramatically effect ones ability to fight off an infestation of mites and allow them to get a foothold. Just look at any topic in this forum with the mites in mind and it seems to make a bit of sense... I am not getting any hopes up, but I have ordered the ZZ cream and am anxious to give it a try. Just playing devils advocate but....
What is the lifespan of these "mites"? I've had KP my entire life. Do these mites live for 35 years? |

They reproduce. You have billions of little critters living and dying on you. |

I was born with KPRF, how do you explain that?
How could I get these mites when I was in my mothers belly? :P |

I have now used the cream for 3 weeks. My skin is still getting softer although my cheeks are still pretty red. I think it just takes awhile for the cream to get through the thick layer of rough dry kprf. Once that is accomplished, I believe the redness will be drastically reduced. Everyone has to remember, results may not be seen until a month or two of treatment. So dont get discouraged. Buck hows your status?

I don't know for sure if this medication really is going to have a great impact, however, I think that the idea behind it, reducing the inflammation/removing the cause of the inflammation within the blocked follicles is a logical step. |

I read that acid cider vinegar kills mites. Your'e supposed to soak a washcloth and leave on your skin for 30 minutes. It's worth a try.

My treatment is going ok, But you HAVE to stick at this for a 120 days and then you eventually have to just use the ZZ cream.
Its no good doing this for a month, then saying " Its no good " It gets worse before it gets better, So hang on in there and stick to it. |

Time to give more details on treating my daughter for mites! We are on day 36 of using Kleen-Free Enzymes from NaturalGinesis.com. They are natural and safe. It is also quite inexpensive since you buy a concentrate, then mix 1 ounce to 8 ounces of purified water.
I soak a cotton pad and swab it on her affected skin. Prior to starting this program, her face had cleared up, but I swabbed her old spots on her face as well as her arms. (Her arms must be where the survivors took up residence because it was the last remaining place that was still bad prior to starting this program:-). We had previously done some parasite/candida cleanses that I attribute to her face and legs clearing up. I started out swabbing her 3 times a day. By day three, her old spots on her face, and her arms were very red. So I'm thinking that this is either too harsh for her skin, or it is working! Someone already posted that when parasites are killed off, they release more of the toxins that are causing the problem in the first place, resulting in a temporary increase. Day four the redness settled down, day five the extra redness was gone and her KP was definitely improving. Day 6, she started getting a bit red again and looked chapped, so I cut back to swabbing her to twice a day. She showed continued improvement, but every three days or so, her skin would flare up slightly, and then settle down, showing overall continued improvement. I previously posted that by day 21 she was about 60-65% improved. Since these enzymes have no residual effect (once her skin is dry, they are not effective), I started to put BBW Spearmint/Euc lotion on her arms once they dried. I tried this for about 10 days, but saw no significant improvement beyond what I was getting with the enzymes. The last couple of days I started putting her 40% urea cream on (this is what we previously used with some success) after the enzymes are dry, and at this point she has very minimal KP on her arms - we are at about 90% clear! I'm going to continue with the enzymes followed by her urea cream for awhile, then drop the urea cream, and see if the enzymes alone will do the job. I'll post again with any changes in our results. Thanks Buck and Anonymous for discovering the mite problem! I've long suspected it was caused by a parasite partly because so many skin problems are, as well as alot of the topicals people seem to have some success with are antiparasiticals - spearmint, tea tree, eucalyptus, sulfur, garlic, neem, etc. |

Buck what are you using besides the ZZ cream? I am just using the facial wash twice a day and the ZZ cream at night. I was under the impression that the XMFL cream wasnt used until after full treatment with the ZZ cream. And Buck, I agree with you on the length of treatment, it will probably take awhile and thats just life. Dora, Im glad you are having success but you have to keep in mind people with Kprf care more about the redness than the bumps. Keep us posted. Peace out.

Question for Dora
I read the website suggesting 1 oz water/8 oz enzymes. I was thinking of purchasing the 8 oz bottle b/c it's the cheapest. Is that enough for a month or so of 2-3x day application, do you think?

Dick, I am using the soap bar in the morning then XFML, then soap in the evening and ZZ cream.
You are supposed to stick to this for 120 days untill the mites are gone and then go onto the maintenance dosage, which is ZZ cream every 2 nights. I have stopped smoking, I am drinking more water and carrott juice and taking cod liver oil. If this doesnt help after 5 months then I am done. Unless a miracle cure is created. But I have alot of faith in these products. I am pretty sure after a few months that the redness will be nearly gone. |
