best TOTALLY NATURAL concealing makeup I've ever found

Ok, so after years of trying, and not really being satisfied with a makeup to conceal my permanent redness on my cheeks and bouts of flushing...I think i've found THE one!

Its only been a few days, but I thought i'd share my enthusiasm.

I found a lady who sells her own home-made mineral foundation, that you actually mix yourself to get the right color match. The base only contains Zinc Oxide and Emu Oil, and the 3 colors that u get (brown, yellow, and red) only contain Iron Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. So NO irritants for sensitive skin Granted-it takes a bit of trial and error to get the right color match and consistency (I needed to add quite a bit of extra Emu Oil, as it was too pastey for me, and my skin is VERY DRY)

I ordered it all the way from the UK, as the ingredient list and concept intrigued me so much. So far I've had great results- You only need a TINY amount to cover a huge area, and it stays put- and I should know- i sweat like anything doing yoga. The coverage is amazing, plus it has sunscreen in it, so it simplifies my regime enourmously. I just moisturize with emu oil and then apply the foundation-done!

I would highly recommend this product, and I think we should all support small independant people like this who have taken the initiative share their solutions (she initially made it for her own acne problem) with others.

The website is http://www.deepestbeauty.com/ amd she doesn't charge extra to ship internationally.

I hope this can be of help to others...

her site is a bit out of date with regards to the color options...U get one kit so you do it yourself, but with regards to the base...I got the sensitive formula, so as to have the least amount of potential irritants:tea-trea wouldn't be good for my skin.

As a side note I would recommend u buy some Australian emu oil as well, so u can add more to get a better consistency.

actually..the joy has worn off...i mixed a lot of extra emu oil, and every day i have to remix it, as it separates. Also I am now mixing it with Vanicream sunblock, to make it more natural, as after i workout with just the makeup on, it goes really whitish and unnatural. I'm OK with it...

I guess nothing is a panacea...despite our hopes.

Has anyone tried BareMinerals Foundation? I saw an infomercial on it the other night and hopped on the internet to read some reviews. For the most part, it got good reviews, but wasn't sure if it would be as effective for folks with KP.

Hi i'm new to the boards. Bare Escentuals does help somewhat. I still have redness but think it has improved. Overall I think it makes my skin look even and you can sleep with this makeup on. I really do think it helps. Their eyeshadows and glosses are great too. The eyeshadows have awesome pigment! I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm new, too! No KP on my face, but I have mild rosacea on my cheeks along with broken capillaries; the Bare Minerals covers it nicely and seems to calm some of the redness. I've been extremely happy with this foundation (I use "Fairly Light" with a little "Light" thrown in) and, after 1.5 yrs., don't think I'll ever change. Good stuff!

I have used different types of makeup over the last 30+ years to cover the redness on my cheeks and by far the mineral makeup and concealer that comes with it has been the best.

I live in NZ and use Sheercover mineral makeup - it is easy to put on and leaves your skin looking an even natural colour. I presume this is an international brand. It's one of those brand only sold by telemarketing in NZ and at first I thought the television advert was too good to be true. However I gave it a go and have found it excellent in covering the redness and you don't need much of it.
