i've just diagnosed myself!

I started to get the symptoms of this skin problem around the age of 13. I went to a dermatologist confused as to what the hell was wrong with my face, and of course she thought it was some form of rosacea. I do have the bumps on the back of my arms (so does my dad, sister, and brother i think) - but i also have the redness of the face. I can identify with everyone in this forum. I am 20 now and have been dealing w/this with a strict makeup routine.
About four years ago i did have a laser treatment done under the assumption that my "rosacea" was being treated. I have to admit it helped quite a bit. If anyone has any questions about this let me know-
( i stumbled upon this site last night and now know what i actually have)

I'm 19 and I have talked with several dermathologists, some thought I had Rosacea, until a women remembered a photo of a girl who had the same redness on her face. She said it was a nonsense to cure somethin with somethin's else cure. But you have tested this!which treatment have you done?Which changes have you seen?

im pretty positive what i have is this keratosis pilaris rubra faceii because i have all the sypmtoms- it describes exactly what i have

I had one laser treatment done, where the doctor used a laser to pulse small dots (kinda like brusises) on my cheeks (or wherever the redness is) to kill the blood vessel that causes the redness in an attempt to cause the vessel to regenerate and heal itself so it doesnt create all the redness...if that makes any sense
i have to say that it reduced the redness about 20% or so but mine is pretty bad so its still very present
on the brighter side, it reduced the hottness that i get with the redness about 70% and i dont experience the hottness more that probably once a month. this was all after one laser treatment

i went to a derm as well when i was 15. i have had it on my face since i was 12 though i used to flush since i was 6 or 7. I dont have bumps on my face and my facial skin is very smooth. the dermatologist figured it was rosacea but that comes with very rough skin. considering how common this condition is there seem to be almost no options and very little information about the disorder or its treatment. and these people went to medical school for 6 years to specialize in skin care.

I had it appear when I about 12 aswell Death and I have smooth skin. I went to a derm and he told me I had KPRF and he gave me Retin A cream. Cheers for nothin, thats what the cream did.

yea retin A is used as a peeling agent and works with acne and supposedly KP bumps but i do not see how it would work as the flushed appearance on my own cheeks is very smooth, probably the smoothest skin on my body.
