The Bach Rescue Remedy is completely natural - it is based on flower remedies which should help you emotionally and can be taken throughout the day whenever you feel low! All good health food stores will sell it. If you cannot get hold of one type Bach Flower Remedy on Google they should point you in the right direction. If you do have the colon/parasite cleanse I would have it once a year. I know someone who had it too often and became ill as the process takes away all the good bugs as well as the bad! Acidophillous (however you spell it!) is a good alternative tablet to take as it puts all the good bugs back into your gut. I am not sure what it will do to help KP but you can always try it to rule it out. Thanks for writing back it is lovely hearing from you. Please continue to keep in touch. It's nice!

Ilana,
Well, when I first began using natural alternatives, was when I first got KP really bad after birth and the regiment really helped me, but I felt like it never completely went away, I think that if I clean myself out first and then do my the vitamins, etc. maybe this time I will have a better effect. Besides, I think that this is a connection between, hormones, colon, and KP. I have been reading alot of these threads from other people and alot of people with KP seem to have alot of digestive problems. In all health books, that I have read it states that if your colon isn't clean than that causes alot of hormonal imbalances and skin problems, acne being the highest on the list. It is worth a try, anything is at this point.
Andrea

Hi Andrea
I agree its worth a try. Let me know how you get on. If it makes you feel better on the inside you are almost guaranteed to look good on the outside, even if it doesn't get rid of KP. I believe the only way we are going to know if there is a cure is if more research is put into the industry to help those with KP. The Specialists I have spoken to in Leeds know the condition well but don't know why it is not cureable, and why you and I would have it rather than someone else! There is talk of it being heriditary. My father has another form of Keratosis and my daughter from time to time gets excema. My mum also has psoriasis, so there might be a link there!! My e-mail address is ilana.stankler@virgin.net. We could correspond through that. I'd like that. Speak to you soon.

Great Thread!

I think there might be a lot of truth to what accorddude said at the beginning of this thread. I encourage everyone to read through that post again. I think we may be getting somewhere in all of this. Thanks accorddude for your research!

I have two questions. Why do some people, with KP, have visible blood vessels and redness in the face? :S
I just don't get it, why would a low sebum production make your cheeks red?

Second question, what's hemp seed oil and primrose oil? I'm from Sweden, try to explain

speaking of sebum production....has anyone tried a product by PeterThomasRoth skincare called Botanical Buffing Beads. Its a body wash/exfoliant that contains jojoba beads that is supposed to "open clogged pores and emulsify the sebum that contributes to black/whiteheads. I got it from Sephora.com and wondered if anyone has tried it?
