Uncertain

I'm turning 15 in january, and my doctor says that its abnormal to have KP at this age, is that true?

I've had KP since I was about six years old with no real improvement. I have KP on my arms and shoulder, but redness on my face that never seems to go away. I've tried sulfur soap and noticed that it got a little lighter, but I've only been doing that for a week. My doctor tells me it should go away eventually, but she has told me that for years and I don't really know what do expect. it really hinders my social life because I'm a little self-concious about my face wherever i go.

My dermatologist doesn't know what to do, I've heard about laser surgery, but my family isn't very wealthy and it cost too much for our budget. I really don't know what to do and need some help.

Is there anything I can do that will help my face and arms??

Your doctor said its abnormal to have kp at age 15?? childhood is the prime stage for kp ESPECIALLY in your teen years. This condition Mike is unquestionably frustrating to treat, but it is certainly treatable it just takes a little work and patience. The redness on your face should improve in the next couple of years as you get older, but the bumps need to be treated basically with exfoliation and then some sort of moisturizing cream. Browse through this website because there are tons of treatment obtions. Good luck and I.M. me if you have any questions.
