What makes me go red...

Hi!!

There are lot's of the things on the above poll that can make me blush. I think anyway it's related to different things.
1º In lack of oxigen (taking a test, party or any other place where there's little air and too much people)
2º Doing sports(also could relate to the 1º)
3º While exercising in a cold ambient. This one is by far the worst case.

What do you think?
hope I didn't miss much,

My best,

marky

I would say warm arm / lack of oxygen. My KP always looks a lot worse at school where the air is very warm and probably not the freshest

I've noticed that when there is ample air flow, like a very mild breeze or the a/c on and I can feel the air moving, I don't get as red. Even more noticeable, I am aware of the air and am less anxious about feeling warm and getting a flare up. So much of this condition is affected by our minds.

yes, much of it is psychological, and if one can accept KPRF in certain situations, even notice triggers to episodes of flushing it can be controlled. of course not every outburst can be controlled, while i do not get flare-ups from social interaction very much, and luckily never in social situations involving many people such as oral presentations etc., facial contact such as talking of the phone for a while will cause it no matter what. i think the easiest thing to prevent is a full flare-up due to temperature or temperature change for i would say the anticipation of the temperature actually will cause a conditioned response to flush and cause further anxiety over the situation. learning to combat further exacerbation of flushing due to temperature fluctuations or extremes will help a lot. once this is taken care of the social anxiety of the condition is lessened as it will then present itself as social interaction with temperature decreasing in factoral importance. i would say that is what someone with social anxiety due to kprf should do, as eliminating the other, more readily controllable factors will lessen the terrible interaction of all these factors, thus leading to an improvement in social interaction.

lol what I don't get is the anxiety about KPRF.. I have it, bad, but never felt uncomfortable about it in public or anything.. and I do public speeches all the time. To me it's just a nusence (sp?) and yeah I don't ever get uncomfortable about it or anything, if I'm laughing really hard or lifting weights and my spotters like "your face is turning purple you aight?" I'll just think it's funny and laugh more or somethin.. funny thing is sometimes my spotter will make fun of my red face but not in a mean way just to **** me off to get those extra 3 reps out of me (max failure). But the only thing that really makes me nervous is the KP on my arms. it sucks ASS. The face isn't like an embarassment or anything. But I hate my complexion. Like how can anyone take you seroiusly with a red face you know? Or if someones in my face and i shove em against a wall (lol key word THEYre in my face, i don't start fights) how can they take a stupid red apple face seriously? If I had a white face I know my complexion would be WAY different, I would literally be a different person. I once put on like a makeup thing and even though it sucked and was obvious, I did it just to see what I would look like in the mirror.. night and day difference. It was freakin amazing lol. But yeah this never leaves the cave ROFL. Dudes don't use makeup.

At the outset, all of them caused me to flush. Eventually , I somehow managed to change that when taking tests or going out on a date. I'm taking my finals now and no flushing whatsoever. It's not that easy , but I try my best to stay cool and dont really care if I get to solve any problem correctly.

Re: KPRF Poll of the year - Don't miss out!

My daughter gets red when she gets upset (3 year old) and happy meal did it once too. So it may be food as well? Not so sure on this one.
