I just signed up with this board. My name is Cody and I'm 17yrs old with rubra faceii/keratosis pilaris. Ive had the bumps pretty much all my life, but I started to get the redness on my face when I was about 14. I hate it. I've tried everything to treat it. All the derms I went to just gave me stuff that made it worse. I'm really self conscience about it, and get flack for it all the time at school. It really takes a toll on your self esteem when you get hasseled about it so much. I tried small samples of that murad redness treatment cream, but I couldnt really see any results from it, since it wasnt very much. I need to hear from anybody that knows if it works or not. I don't need people trying to "cheer me up" or make me feel good about it, just people with valuble advice on how to treat this. I hear enough feel good stuff from other people, I just need some helpful advice. Also if anyone can tell me the chances of this being something that I can grow out of. Any help is really appreciated

cody, i have read numberous articles about Keratosis Pilaris off the internent and they all pretty much say the same thing (nothing) . My daughter is 14 and has KP and red face. Recently she has been taking vitamin e daily and appling dermalogica daily resurfacer and it has helped the bumps and redness. Today I went on the website from dermadoctor and they had a lot of info i hadn't read before. I read on this message board that the KP duty does not work but i ordered it anyway. Maybe you can find something that works for you. Good Luck

Thank you for the reply, I'll be sure to try it. The doctor tried to put me on rosacae medicine and it just made things worse, its good to see something made for kprf.

Don't feel alone i have been teased all my life for the redness in my cheeks and the little bumps. In shool people always want to know what it is or if i feel ok. If you find anything that works please let me know i am desprite for an answer. Thanks
