Red hot cheeks and ears only.... Howcome?!?

Hello people, I'm a newbie to the site but not to this horrific problem of having constant red/pink cheeks that sometimes are worse/hotter than others. I have had this for about 8 years and it's time to fix it. My cheeks are the only thing that are red, no nose or chin. They are not raised but just soft normal discolored cheeks. I try and tan but they turn even more red. Please help, I'd love to stop this..... Alcohol/workout/sun/nervous/stress makes it worse but only sometimes. People say rosecea but my face is completely smooth with no sign of bumps. I'm still waiting for someone to approach me and say " I had the same thing as you and this is how I got rid of it.... Wishful thinking, although I notice eveyone with a red face and feel like we have some kind of connection, although we would never approach eachother cause that would probably make us both more red!! Please help guys, anything you may suggest could be the cure for me

Thank you all for your time, any input helps

I have the same exact problem..red cheeks/ears and it is also smooth and definitely not rosacea because there is absolutely nothing wrong with my nose, forehead or chin. I absolutely hate it and am so self conscious about it. I am wishing just like you for a way to fix it.

I tried cellfood (did nothing for the redness), I tried a whole bunch of creams with no results, and I have been using eurecin redness relief for the past few years but that only hides some of the redness when it is on, it doesnt make it dissapear (I actually hate the stuff, it's a pain in the ass to use, but it lessens the appearance of red so I use it anyway).

I honestly don't know what else to do...have you tried anything else that somewhat works??

I have found nothing that works for this, just can't believe that there's nothing
that we can do to at least make it a little better
so we can live normal lives and not be thinking about
it 24/7. Any suggestions would be great suggestions.. Thanks

...ya cellfood doesnt really do anything for the redness, it just helped me with flushing, especially after eating a big meal my face would always get flushed, my face was also super sensitive to heat...its a bit more tolerable to heat now. I would keep using cellfood though because its a really great supplement to keep u healthy-->like it helps distribute oxygen to all parts of the body...i find it helps a great deal when i excercise, i dont flush as bad

Also, Bearsolaire, u might want to look into Dr Lowe's Redness Relief Correcting Cream, i havnt tried it, yet but other people on here have suggested it...its from europe so im hoping that i can order it up here in Canada

the eucerin daily lotion does work. It doesn't work any miracles though. It will reduce your redness and calm your face (it contains licorice root which has anti-inflammatory properties). Your face will still be slightly red, but nowhere near the BRIGHT red that it would have been otherwise.

I don't use it everyday, I use it when i'm going to be in an intense social situation. I'll use it if I have to give a presentation at school or if i'm going to the bar or a party.

It makes me much more confident knowing that my face is not going to be bright red. As I said in another post, I also use cerave cream everyday to keep my face full of moisture as it gets very dry in the winter.

I also tried cellfood. The only benefit I noticed is that my face doesn't sweat as bad when I eat sometimes. I don't think I will continue to use it as it is expensive to use it year round. I'm a college student and money is always an issue. Maybe once I graduate I will give it another try.

barbz I am in the exact same boat as you with the tinted eucerin cream, which is a pain in the ass, comes off with any water, only really works for like 16 hours, and is either obvious or does nothing unless it is applied perfectly. Is there any other cover that is sold at Riteaid in the US that would be of help? The eucerin one is simply God-awful

Re: Red hot cheeks and ears only.... Howcome?!?

i have exactly the same problem, but i think i have it mild in my normal state since i noticed most of the people the have posted in here say they are 24/7 red, and im only that red if i do like a presentation/stress/anger/excersise/nervous(a big one lol) ect..., i used aveeno tinted moistorizer and it keeps my face looking like the one i have on my profile, but i wish i could stop the flushes/blushes and i think my face would be cured
Kprf is killing me, but the good things its better now and almost 100% gone with some light tinted sunscreen yes lol

Anyways check out my profile and visit the "Are you Single" ad on your right or just click below lol
