However, there are some sources on the web that have permission to distribute copyrighted material, although they might require payment or registration. Three of such sources are PUBMED, eLIBRARY and FindArticles.com.

Give these a try, as you can get some information for free. For example, in most cases, you would be able to access a 3 to 4 paragraph abstract for free of your article of interest.
