My name is Dawn and I'm 25 years old...I've had KP my whole life but never known what it was until a few weeks ago! I keep reading that sometimes KP will clear up as you age, but for me that has been the opposite. When I was younger, I only had it on the outside of my upper arms...within the last 2 years, however, it has spread to the top of my thighs and to the tops of my lower arms as well. I know that I need to take some action and try to at least tone it down, but it seems really daunting. I'm lucky to have a wonderful fiancee who is not overtly concerned about it, but I have these visions of waking up and having KP all over...everything! I know it wouldn't be the end of the world if it happened but I can't help feeling afraid that it is going to spread everywhere. Anyway, I just wanted to say "Hi" - on to reading threads about treatments!

Welcome to the KP Forum. For some, KP doesn't go away as they get older, but I don't think it will be "all over...everything!" Be hopeful, instead of fearful. You can take charge and start trying to diminish your KP. Many of our members have posted their success stories on the sticky thread "Thread Devoted to What Works for You". I hope you find something to try. Please let us know what helps.
