Hello all, I'm a n00b
My name's Jenna, I'm a 15 year old girl from Michigan, and I have keratosis pilaris alba on my upper and forearms. Though I don't know anyone personally that has this, it's good to know I'm not alone. I usually don't mind anything that people think about me and I tell anyone really gross personal things, but for some reason, this just tears me apart. I wear sweaters all year, even in the summer when it's 90 degrees out. It's awful, and everyone tends to think I cut myself. I get questioned a lot, it's annoying. My biggest problem is probably trying to avoid popping the tiny little bumps all over, though that may seem gross. It makes everything look about TEN TIMES WORSE, but it's really hard to stop myself. I've read that there's no cure for this, and nothing makes it disappear completely. But I hope I can find something in this community that atleast helps a little, and some comfort from the others that understand this condition, too. I need to get enough confidence back to be able to expose my arms this summer!
