hello!

Hello, I am a mother of three great kids. My oldest daughter has always had skin problems. It began at birth with baby acne, cradle cap, eczema, etc. until our third dermatologist diagnosed her with KP two years ago. We have tried the Glytone products, DermaDoctor products, countless prescription creams, lotions, exfoliating techniques, etc. I found this site after noticing that her symptoms seem to be getting more bothersome lately. She is ten years old now. I am so worried that it is going to cause her social and emotional problems as she gets older and typically more self-conscious. I am so fed up with dermatologists telling us there is nothing we can do and she'll eventually grow out of it!!! I decided to be a little more proactive and research other alternatives than "waiting it out", seeing that it is getting worse rather than better. I am encouraged by some the posts that I have read so far and definitely plan on sharing this information with my very intelligent child to decide which course she would like to try first!!!!! Thank you so much for all your posts, we finally feel like there may be some relief for this condition in her future!

Re: hello!

Hello Mommy3,

It sounds like you are taking things into your own hands. Good for you! Have you checked out this thread:
Thread Devoted to What Works For You
There may be some remedies suggested on that thread that your daughter will want to try. (The acid remedies are too strong for her young skin.) Please let us know if she finds something that helps.
