Hi my name is Cathy, i'm 29 and I've had this since I was about 6. Besides my mother I never knew of anyone else with this. It's good to know i'm not the only one!
I'm curious as to if anyone has tried electrolyisis. I have it done on my eyebrows and upper lip...but wondering if anyone has had it done on an affected area? I recently started on my toes...and I have the same problem where the skin just grows over the hair...but it is helping. Once i finish treatments on my face and toes i'm going to try the underarms...since I have the same problem there. I was told laser treatments wouldn't work...but I also don't know if i could sit there for hours on end trying to get all those hairs out...but if it would work it might be worth it.

Is your KP severe or mild?

I honestly don't know if it's severe or not since I have nothing to compare it too. It affects my arms...the upper more than the lower, tush, hips and legs. I have the rough raised red bumps an all those areas except my calves...there i just have red dots on every follicle..no bumps
