This is my first post. I am 37 years old and live in Louisiana. Luck brought me to this site. I'm glad to know that there are others out there like me with knowledge that might help my situation. I've lived with this condition for all of my adult life and it has impacted my life in such a negative way, it's unbelievable.

It embarasses me to wear shorts and I have medium brown skin so these dark spots really show up. I hate it when people stare and when it's really hot I want to wear a swim suit or shorts, but it's been years since I've been able to do either.

Before today, I never knew what my condition was called and didn't know there was a treatment for it, but maybe there's hope for me yet.

Oh I almost forgot, I'm getting married in August in Hawaii and I REALLY need to be able to look extra good for my wonderful fiance'. He doesn't seem to mind my condition and it doesn't seem to bother him but if I could look better, I would love it.
