Hi

I have had this horribly unfair disease since my teens, which has progressively gotten worse throughout my adult life (now 42) and have passed it on to my 2 boys, one is 13 and his is worse than mine! Im Heartbroken.
I have tried 90 percent of the so called remedies, lotions, and regimines listed throughout this site. I have prayed, worn long sleeves/pants in the summer, much like you all. My story is a mixture of all of yours.
I had not, however, tried the Sea Buckthorn/Coconut oil regimine. My son and I are in week 2 and I agree, it has made it worse but no large bumps have formed, just the imflammed red dots (mine are smooth, my sons are raised) and the Coconut Oil is a dream. I just hope the SBT soap doesnt make it worse and then just stop working. I dont mind it much for me, I just am sick about what effect it will have on my kids self esteem. Good luck to all, I will post again on the progress. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

Re: Hi

Hi Snyder,

Welcome to the KP Forum. Sadly, this is all one big experiment, as medical science has no answers for us. Please keep trying different remedies and let us know what works and what doesn't. It may take 30 days or longer to see results. What helps one person may not help another, so we just have to keep trying. Good luck.

I encourage you to keep on using the SB and be persistent and patient. Lots of people have seen results with it, maybe you'll be one of them, (hopefully!!).

Coconut oil, is very good for your skin.

it is very important that you support your son in an emotional way and improve his self-esteem. He can also join some kids sports team so he can sweat and clean his body.
Also drink lots of water! (8 glasses a day)

Please, keep on posting your results, we will be waiting here for them.
Good Luck
