I am so happy to have found this community! I have struggled with KP most of my life. My KP appeared when I was 12 yrs. old. It didn't bother me (at first) until a boy in my class asked me why I had all these red bumps on my legs (i was wearing shorts). Since then (21 yrs. later), I have been EXTREMELY self-conscious about my KP. I have tried to get rid of it by tanning, exfoliating, shaving, waxing, many types of creams/lotions (AmLactin, KP Derma Doctor to name a couple) and have seen many dermatologists who all tell me that it will NEVER go away thus leaving me depressed. I live in So. Calif. and my friend is having a beach party soon. I soooo want to say NO b/c of my KP. Last summer (100 degree weather) I never wore shorts. Actually, I haven't worn shorts in YEARS. Anyhow, I have read about oil pulling and that it could possibly get rid of KP. Have any of you tried it? And if so, has it worked?
