Hello from Spain!!
Been open-eyed whole day since i found this site.
I even discovered tears in my eyes (i know im a silly girl) as i read all your stories so similar to mine.
I have a severe case of KP (now i know what im talking about !) in my arms, legs, butt and back. Last year i went to dermatologist for the first time since i was 5 when i was diagnosed. My mum was told that it was a chronical condition and that was about it. No treatment was applied and as i grew up it got worst and worst as well as spreading around.
I live in a hot country and i havent worn short sleves since i was 11 (and less aware of people stares i guess). Then last year i went to a GP by my self. She gave me a lotion Urea based. I helped lots!! But the KP is still there.
Im not going to get into what this condition have meant to me through my growing ages, but the psicological pain that it gives is sometimes really hard to bear.
And i casually found this place, something i though didnt even existed. I have allways thought i was a freak. Now i know i just have an skin condition that can be improved. Cannot express how i feel.
Im lucky. I have a lovely boyfriend that thinks im the most beautyfull girl in the world and a lot of friends that ask me for beauty tips!! This was something within my self. My battle.
But a bunch of minds are more powerfull than one, and where the doctors give up we will put up fight!!!
