hows it going

Im a male, 22 years old.
My case of KP started back in middleschool, about 12 years ago. Since then I havent worn shorts outside. Always wearing pants, I tend not to think about it too much, but when I do, it really gets me down. That plus the possibility of embarrassment if someone points it out weighs on my mind. (even more so when I was in college)

I'm your average fair skinned redhead, and almost never let myself get out in the sun very long for fear of burning. (after always getting sunburned, I ended up getting sunpoisening as a kid, and decided that I'd had enough)
My breakout of KP starts about upper to mid thigh all the way down to my ankles on both legs.

Docs have prescribed lotions before, but nothing really helped. I figured since I'm currently unemployed, nows a good as time as any to focus on this ordeal and see what I can do about it.
If anyone can point me in the right direction of possible remedies or steps I can take to lessen the appearance of this "chicken skin" I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the KP Forum, Mike. There are many different remedies being tried here, some with success, some not. Some are natural, some are chemical. Please read as much as you can, and find some remedies that appeal to you to try. Give a remedy 30 days to see if it helps and let us know if you have success. There is no one "magic bullet".
