Hi, 48 year old guy here!

Well, after having KP since I was an adolescent, I finally decided to do something about it. I came across this sight a number of years ago but did not join. I have a teenage daughter, and have noticed that she has developed KP. I have also noticed that mine seems to have spread as I’ve gotten older. I did a little research and came across some references to AmLactin as something that can help some people (it appears that different people may respond to different treatments). I talked with a pharmacist, and she also related that the feedback she has received on AmLactin has been very good, so I am going to give it a try to see if I am one of those people that respond. If so, I will see if it works from my daughter.

1 – I will post updates on progress, if any.

2 – Has anyone had experience with AmLactin, and if so, how did it go?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Adrian:

Thank you for joining this community! We have created an area that is specialized for posting progress journals. There you can open your own thread and update it as you wish. Keeping a journal is a very helpful way to track your improvement and also receive feedback from others.

I hope that this treatment work for you and your daughter...

What Amlactin % will you use?

Re: Hi, 48 year old guy here!

I am using the non-perscription, OTC, 12% kind. I put it on the a.m. after showering.

I not sure if I should exfoliate first or not. There seems to be confliction opinions on that. Maybe one way works for some people and one way works for others.

I will try not exfoliating first to see how that works, if nothing happens, then I'll try exfoliating first.

Exactly, you should try it and see what works best for you.

Remember not to expose directly to sun light while on Amlactin, and please keep us posted on your progress
