New to the forum

Well I guess I should introduce myself. I'm 29 and have been dealing with KP since I was 8. Over the years I've developed an OCD with it. I find myself picking daily. Try as I might (been through professionals, family, friends) this is the hardest challenge I've ever faced. So not only am I trying to get my KP under control, I'm healing from the damage I do everyday and trying to heal from past damage.

Welcome to our forum. I hope you find KP help and support here.

I can completely relate to the obsessive picking. I did that for years. I found that wearing long sleeves helped break me of the habit, along with self-discipline. It is hard, I know, but this habit can be broken. I so enjoyed having smooth skin, even with the KP bumps, that visualizing smoother skin helped stop me from picking. It got to the point where I would start to pick at a bump, and then be able to say to myself, "Do you want it to look worse or better tomorrow?"
