Please help me...KP Itching..

The bumps on my legs are itching every day, especially at nights, really bad.
+ my KP looks terrible..I just feel very bad about it.

Something about me:

- I have Keratosis Pilaris, but I don't know if it's KPRF..because my cheeks are always a little bit red, but that's fine,

- The dots on my skin especially on my arms are very red + a little bit bumpy

- I am free of gluten for about 4 weeks: THE RESULT
Less bumpy, but still very red + rough...but why still the itching?

- I have a histamine intolerance

Should I go on a casein free diet 2...???

Because I did a blood test and they found nothing..no milk allergy no wheat allergy...(But I'm still not eating gluten, because I know the Kp got better)
They said, you have dry skin, buy this creme..

How is that possible, how can I find out what I can eat?
+ How is my digestion going to work, if I don't eat all this stuff? (milk, wheat ect.) I'm scared I don't want to make self test
And how do I get the vitamins, I don't want to take food supplement...

It's really annoying, because It's very hard to enjoy life...and going on a glutenfree diet ain't easy...and the result well the red dots + bups on arms + legs are still there, and that's the worst....

I just don't understand it, If I knew what to do, what not to eat...I just want to be normal like others...

Specifically what tests were done? A wheat allergy is quite different than celiac disease (gluten-intolerance with small intestine damage) and the tests are different also. If you had the celiac tests done but were already on a gluten-free diet, those blood tests are not valid. Your body generates the anti-bodies to gluten only if you continue to eat gluten.

If you did not have the celiac panel done, you may be missing some info. on the other hand, there _are_ people who do not test positive for celiac disease but feel much better gluten-free. There is some debate going on as to whether those people may simply be in a state of latent celiac disease that hasn't triggered.
traditional celiac info here:
The University of Chicago - Celiac Disease Center - Home

If you consider having the celiac panel, be sure to read about it at the above link and also on the forums I link to below. There are Drs and labs who do not do complete workups and then not enough biopsy samples, etc Better to have some idea of what is needed before hand than feel confused and under-served by your meds afterwards.

If you have celiac disease and skin rashes or even dermatitis herpetiformis from it it can take 6 months for your skin to clear up. The official DH literature focuses on really obvious looking rashes as far as what photos they provide but celiacs seem to experience a lot of clearing of their skin in general when they go gluten free - lots of weird rashes and eczema, etc improve. poke thru these for more info:

Histamines are what your body produces in reaction to allergens. Anti-histamines are drugs like Benadryl, taken to counteract the effects of histamines. Do you mean you have an anti-histamine intolerance? I know people who do, it's rare but it happens.

Many people with celiac find that they can resume eating dairy after their intestines heal up and their immune systems settle down. One, the villi that produce lactase heal up and they can digest lactose again. Two, their bodies stop looking at casein as though its gliadin (more specific protein of gluten) and allergic/immune reactions also go away.

There are people who are willing to live with the self-diagnosis of gluten sensitivity in the absence of tests. But it should be understood that you have to be very vigilant to keep gluten out of your system if you have any suspicion you may have celiac disease in that case. That's why a lot of people recommend the tests since then you'll take it more seriously to not cheat. I felt so much better not eating gluten that I could have done the GF diet without the diagnosis but I did want the dx for extended family members to take me seriously and if I needed a Drs letter for a situation where I would need GF food provided or something like that...

Here's my journal, my awareness of celiac disease only happened because others on this site had so much benefit from gluten-free diets and doesn't even come up till the second to last page or so:
The Long and Winding Road

I would recommend you spend time on those gluten-free and celiac boards reading and asking questions especially in the pre-diagnosis sections to determine your path. There are tons of recipes in the gluten-free blogging world. Don't worry - if you truly NEED to stop eating gluten and you do, your digestion will improve, your skin will improve (perhaps over a long period of time) and you will find plenty of advice from others out there - diagnosed and not - on what to eat, suggested supplements all that.
