Re: What Do We All Eat?
Relax ravs,
No one's attcking you... Bunny is just concerned. Which is normal in her case. This is a forum. Everyone has a different opinion... And everyone is free to post their experiences. 99.9% KP free, so why shouldn't she share her successes and failures? She just wants to help. Live long & prosper ![]() ![]() xoxoxoxoxo |

Re: What Do We All Eat?
Lot,
Actually, if you look up the nutritional analysis of chicken livers, omega 3 and 6 are so low they are of no consequence. Nor does the analysis give information for any other omega efa's. Nutrition Facts and Analysis for Chicken, liver, all classes, raw And what is a "branch omega"? I couldn't find it with Google. kebod

My treatment: Oil pulling daily; candida diet (minimum of carbs, no sugars); omega-3 from canned salmon and sardines; sun exposure 10-15 minutes, 3 days a week, without sunblock; program to strengthen immune system; probiotic supplements; lots of water; moderate daily exercise; exfoliation with epsom salts and sugar several times a week. KP reduced 99%. If I go "off diet" -- grains, sugars, etc. -- or stop oil pulling, KP returns. |

I am a middle-aged mom. It shows in my posts here, don't you think? I get all protective and concerned feeling over total strangers here because we share a common factor. I am extra concerned that people with KP be aware of the possible connection to celiac disease because celiac disease is extremely underdiagnosed, a very serious condition but really quite easy to treat. and I can't even tell you how much better I feel now that I am treating it! it has been basically a miracle for me and explained a whole lot of $h*t in my life over the last few _decades_. Because of my learning of it, my son will not have to suffer unexplained malaise, KP, and psychological weirdness all his life (hopefully!) since he has been properly diagnosed. And only until recent years have Drs started to figure out that many celiacs have non-obvious symptoms like skin issues and neurological issues - incl depression and anxiety... think of me as one of those nosey-old-ladies who wears the green bracelet for celiac and a T-shirt about it too. That's why I keep coming back to this site.So again for clarity, I don't assume that everyone around here has it but I think it is important to be aware of.

Re: What Do We All Eat?
rav,
Stay positive and don't make excuses for your negative feelings. You -- and no one else -- hold the key to your happiness. Are you going to wallow in self-pity or take charge of your life? Really, each of us with KP already has so many very healthy things we can appreciate about our bodies if we take the time to think about it. I'm grateful for my good eye sight, for my joints that all work like they should, for my healthy heart, for my sense of hearing, smell and taste. I'm grateful that all my other organs are doing what they are supposed to do. I'm grateful that I have healthy teeth. There are more things to be grateful about than we can even count. I am saying this to point out to you that there are other things to focus on than our less than perfect skin. kebod
