New user fighting kp!!

Hi everyone! I am new to this community. I recently learned that i have been living with KP for about 10 years. It sucks!! I am 24 years old and refuse to wear tank tops, bathing suits, shorts, and anything else that allows for my KP bumps to be noticeable!

Since i have been adamant on finding a natural cure for my KP i have come across many interesting suggestions!

Today i:
*Started oil pulling with organic coconut oil
Pulling 2x day for 20-30min
*Spraying diluted Apple Cider Vinegar all over my body before going to bed (daily)
*Dry exfoliating skin every other day (too much exfoliating can be damaging)
*Moisturize with Eucerin body cream 2xday

I will post my weekly progress.

Good Luck to all of us!!!

Re: New user fighting kp!!

Hi Nashia,

Welcome to the KP Forum. It sounds like you have already done your reading and found some suggested treatments to try. Let us know if it helps.

I understand why you want to wear long sleeves, long pants, etc., but some moderate sun exposure might help you. Just 10-15 minutes, 3 times a week. Many of our posters have said this helps their KP. It is probably the Vit. D produced by sun exposure that is making a difference.

Keep in touch.

My treatment: Oil pulling daily; candida diet (minimum of carbs, no sugars); omega-3 from canned salmon and sardines; sun exposure 10-15 minutes, 3 days a week, without sunblock; program to strengthen immune system; probiotic supplements; lots of water; moderate daily exercise; exfoliation with epsom salts and sugar several times a week. KP reduced 99%. If I go "off diet" -- grains, sugars, etc. -- or stop oil pulling, KP returns.

Careful on the doing Pulls hardcore when you're a noobie. You might get real sick. I certainly did when I started pulling 2-3 times a day.

Re: New user fighting kp!!

Iam,

Thank you for the advice to Nashia. Some people experience serious detox symptoms when they start oil pulling. These people should cut back on how much time they oil pull until they feel comfortable again.

Yeah, don't forget to add they need to consume loads of vitamin C.

I might still be sick if not for it.

Re: New user fighting kp!!

Thank you Kebod and Vampire for the warnings and advice!! I deeply appreciate it all!

I was feeling very ill the first few days so i decided to cut back on the oil pulling. I find it too hard to withstand
(trying to not swallow from all that swishing). So i will be pulling for only 10min/day until i get used to it than gradually build up the time.

Yes! I do need the Vitamin D & C I have been reading on Dr. Mercola (He is GREAT!) and he is big on Vitamin D from the sun.

Check out his stuff @ mercola.com I had ordered his "Natural Sunblock" a few days ago so i look forward to receiving it. It has ZERO harmful ingredients that are found in most sunblocks and even the others that claim to be All Natural.

He tells the truth about everything that you need to know on everyday items that we use and the things that we are lacking. Y'all will love him! I promise! Ask him a question and he will respond too!

He is very informative and easy to understand.

Anyways,
So far my arms, legs, and butt KP look the same but feel slightly softer.
I will you keep updated...

Thanks friends!

Good Luck to us all!!!

**Kebod, Thanks for posting your treatment routine!!!**
