Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

Combine the epsom salts and oil. Mix them together into one solution. Then rub gently all over. Stay away from your eyes.

2 spoonfuls of epsom salts added to one spoonful of oil equals 3 spoonfuls of epsom salts/oil solution.

My treatment: Oil pulling daily; candida diet (minimum of carbs, no sugars); omega-3 from canned salmon and sardines; sun exposure 10-15 minutes, 3 days a week, without sunblock; program to strengthen immune system; probiotic supplements; lots of water; moderate daily exercise; exfoliation with epsom salts and sugar several times a week. KP reduced 99%. If I go "off diet" -- grains, sugars, etc. -- or stop oil pulling, KP returns.

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

Hi iamvampire! How much salt do you use in one bath? For how long do you bath? Do you rinse it off afterwards or do you self-dry? Best regards from Sweden!

I do espom salt baths at night for 15-30 mins. Then immediately, I take a shower. In the shower I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub with 2% salicylic acid/oilfree which acts as my exfoliater since it has small beads. After the shower I put on a light coat of AmLactin moisturizing body lotion. (both of these subtances were reccomended by my derm who specializes in KP and had it herself)

In the mornings, I oil pull for 15-20 mins. My skin is about 95% bump free. Every day it becomes better and better. The dots on my legs are at a point where you can barely notice them. The redness on my arms are fading.

I am new to this routine and will keep it going for a good period. IF you can't espom, then try those two products. I'm a hardcore kind of guy, and I like the extra benfits of epsom and oil pulling.

Don't forget about improving your diet.
Hope this helps you, Cammi.

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

Noobie,

Great! Is your KP reduced because you use epsom salts?

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

I'm living in London at the moment and can't seem to find epsom salts at any supermarkets!
I remember seeing it back home (australia) but just cant get it here. I've seen some bath salt products but they dont seem to contain magnesium like epsoms.
Any UKers found any?

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

Here is one web site that sells epsom salts in the UK. I found it by googling "UK Epsom Salts".
Or you could as a chemist (pharmacist) for magnesium sulfate.

I hope this helps.

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

hey, do any of you use a moisturizer on your skin after the epsom salt bath?

what is the most effective bath temperature to 'open up the pores' and clean them out ?

thanks!

Re: Epsom Salt Bath Works

Most of the time I do not use a moisturizer afterward. And you want the water temperature to be as HOT as you can handle.
