Does the Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit Really Work??

I just ordered it off Amazon and I looked at it on the DermShop website and the reviews all seem very positive. I was wondering if anyone here has tried it and if it actually works or if it's just a waste of money Thanks!!

By the way, Im new and KP has been bothering me for my whole life. I really wish I could find a treatment that works...

Hi Lesliee,

Welcome to the KP Forum.

I hope someone else can reply to you about the kit. I have not used it, so can't speak of personal experience with it.

You can use the Search function on the upper right of the forum page to see if it has been discussed before on the forum. Click "Search", type in "Glytone Keratoisis Pilaris Kit", and select
"Show all posts". You will find previous posts, if there were any, that discussed this.

Please keep in touch and let us know if the kit helps you.

KP reduced 99%. If I go "off diet" -- grains, sugars, etc. -- or stop oil pulling, KP returns.

Re: Does the Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit Really Work??

I used it for a long time and over all it was good at flatting out the bumps and help the redness I wouldn't say you waste your money with this kit... when you're bump free I would look at doing something else. I really think this will help you when you're bump free and I'll fill you in on it...

K one is Coconut oil!!!! best thing you can put on your skin and it's natural! use after shower or bath. I cook with it and eat a spoon full every day as well.

The Essential Oil Company : Coconut Oil

2nd epsom salt wet skin rub it on the skin real good and chill in the bath for 10-15 mins.

3rd 3-6-9 caps 6 a day I take 2 with each meal, I also take a spoon full of flax oil 3 time a day.

4th tanning! tanning is GOOD for you, just don't burn and don't over do it, I go 3 days a week for 7 mins or 2 times a week for 10 mins after I build up my tan. Tanning is the best way to get VitD and you get 70% of it by tanning so your body can only get 30% from food! it will also fight 47 types of cancer.

Last is a epilator I used that on my arms, butt and back and I think that played a HUGE part in clearing my skin and my it's more noticeable on my legs. It hurts like a B*t*h the first 2-3 times but then it doesn't hurt at all I working on my legs now lol. I also find when I workout and eat good helps but I'm now at a point that KP doesn't run my life or worry about it too much just my legs a bit cause that's the only spot that is noticeable but once I use the epilator on it I'm sure it'll be as good as the rest of my body... and my legs just look like freckles and on a bad day my arms look like they have a few not really noticeable freakles.

I would like to add I find when I eat lots of green it helps my legs and makes my arms really clear!.. again my arms have few spots that look like small freckles but aren't really noticeable or gross. And that link I put up is just for info for you on coconut oil.

Canuck,

I am trying to eat a big helping of greens every day -- spinach, chard, etc. My skin is doing great now, and I think my improved diet has a lot to do with it.

I think diet alone could do HUGE improvements.. I eat a lot of spinach. The one thing I like about the way I'm fighting KP is that it's all natural, I'm not putting chemicals on my skins which then goes in to your blood and into your organs.

Re: Does the Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit Really Work??

I purchased the Glytone kit and it burned the hell out of my skin.
Don't waste your money on temporary treatments.
Canuck - does the coconut oil clog your drains ? I really want to use it because it makes skin so smooth and smells so yummy, but i think it solidifies after 76 degrees.

I don't know if it does... I've never had any problems with it and I go into tanning bed with it on. Give it a try.

Don't put coconut oil in your drains. It will clog up. Just spit it in the kitchen garbage can or in a jar with a lid that you can throw away when it is full.

Re: Does the Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit Really Work??

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have been using the Glytone kit for 4 days now and I have noticed some difference. At first I was disappointed because the bumps and redness looked the same but after the third day I started noticing the bumps smoothing out and the redness going down. Im excited to see how much more my skin clears up. But my legs still look pretty bad, which is kind of disappointing.

But you are right, this is merely a temporary cure. But I will definitely try some of yalls suggestions after I find my skin clearer!
