KP Is 99% Gone Using Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid
I FOUND MY KP SOLUTION!
![]() 1: DON'T PINCH THEM! It makes the pores bigger and they will become bigger. When I feel the urge to pinch my KP anywhere I go and put on a sweatshirt. 2. Use Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid. I get mine from http://sal3.com/- They ship it priority for free! 3. Anywhere there is KP- follow up with Aveeno Moisturizing Lotion so it won't peel from the soap-I've noticed it's smoothed out my bumps to practically nothing in a week. Found tonight Sam's Club has 2 big bottle pack for $14 as supposed to the one I just bought for $11 at Walgreens. After the 1st day I noticed a huge difference! It's been a week and mine are almost totally gone! I use the soap on my face and entire body. It smells pretty good too! I've found using a body puff with the soap makes it lather better. The soap: 3% Salicylic Acid and 10 % Sulfur Keratolytic action- which means it breaks up the Keratone (reason for KP) in your skin Antiseptic Anti fungal I love it! I bought the 6 pack and will definitely be buying more soon! I'm expecting my KP to be totally gone in another week. I have also not had any new bumps form. I will keep you updated ![]() |

re: KP Is 99% Gone Using Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid
My KP was on my:
1: Face- red bumps around the sides of my cheeks and chin 2: Chest- bigger bumps on my chest and breasts with big pores 3: Back and Shoulders- not as red and not as much in this area 4: Arms: very red on the back of my upper arms and outside of wrist area. Towards my elbow on the outside and inside weren't red but the white KP bumps. On the middle of my upper arms they were red, but a lot bigger bumps then the back of my arms. 5. Hips: moderately red with big bumps like on my chest. The only KP that was rough like was on my back of my arms- the area most exposed to the air. Hope this helps. I've had KP since birth and I'm 27. |

I've read other posts where they said this soap worked for them. I keep forgetting to order it and try it. Thanks for the (reminder) post.

re: KP Is 99% Gone Using Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid
Hey
![]() Hawaiian Punch! I wanted to ask you whether you had break outs when using the sulfur soap and if the red/purple dots are gone too? I've been using a sulfur based Shampoo and cream - well it's a conditioner for colored people, but I use it as a body cream. It's greasy Vaseline like, but that's all I could find with sulfur in it - and it seems to be working. But this stuff is hard to find over here, the most sulfur based soap I could find was 2% and although I believe it's working, I think the 10% soap would work better! I'm going to order it when I get paid next week. (I'm only a student and have no money hehe )I've had KP since... well... since I can remember and all over my body! ![]() But last week I started this Sulfur thing and my legs cleared up A LOT! Also I wanted to add, that I started taking MSM (natural sulfur) orally and it's speeding things up, so you guys might want to try that too. Anyway, I'm really happy that you're KP has cleared up!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Last edited by Charly.ec; 12-28-2008 at 10:52 AM.. |

re: KP Is 99% Gone Using Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid
Update: I was using the Aveeno Moisturizing lotion and it actually made my KP worse. I've stopped using that and I ordered Sulfur Ointment from Sulfur Ointment - 10 % Sulphur - Scabies skin care - Made in the U.S.A>. I think they are the same people that sell the soap because they offer a soap/ointment package. I just bought the 1 2.2 oz tub. I will post back with results. My KP got really huge with the Aveeno. I had to go out in the sun for the last two days to calm them down. I haven't used any lotion since and they disappeared. I am also taking MSM 1000 mg a day along with the Sulfur soap. I am also trying the betaine HCL on another post about Hyperchlorhydria. I do believe you have to combat this from the inside and outside. There is obviously a reason why this is occuring internally because our skin is the biggest organ in our body and whatever we take internally our skin will reflect.

I used the Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid for the first time today in the shower, and used it with scrubby shower gloves. One thing I noticed is that my KP did not have the flushed red look after my shower, which surprised me quite a bit, particularly with using the scrubbing gloves. That is all for now. I will post back.

I've been using the sal3 soap since 1/05, and the flushed red appearance that I used to get after showering has ceased (like I posted above that I noticed after the 1st time using it). The feel of my skin has smoothed out, so has the appearance of the bumps (including the overall reddened look that was increasing over the last few yrs).
I'd say (conservatively speaking) that the KP has been reduced by about 75-80%. I use the soap on the affected areas everytime I shower (I use the scrubby shower gloves for this), and I follow-up with the alba botanica lotion, maximum dry skin formula. Sometimes I do use the Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion instead. I've never had a problem with my skin reacting to the Aveeno lotion the way HawaiianPunch did (I've used the lotion off & on for yrs now). ![]() |

re: KP Is 99% Gone Using Sulfur Soap with Salicylic Acid
I have been searching everywhere for some sulfur lotion or ointment. I bought the sulfur ointment from sulfurointment.com and it took 2 1/2 weeks to get it in. When I opened the shipping package it had exploded inside, which wasted 1/4 of the 2 oz container. I tried s****ing it out but couldn't get it all. It was way too greasy for me so, I was only putting it on at night and wearing a long sleeve shirt to bed.
I finally found something that I think will do better and I can put it on in the AM and PM on my arms, legs, chest, and face. It's called Kala Health MSM Gel 15%: ![]() I just ordered it yesterday so we'll have to wait for it to come in. If you do the autoship it's 20% off. You can cancel the autoship at anytime without fees. So, I ordered the 9oz and autoship for 60 days. Here's the link: MSM gel manufacturer, retail and wholesale Info from the site: Practical applications of MSM gel include:
Skin Irritations Many people find relief when MSM gel is applied to problematic skin conditions. Dr. Stanley Jacob recommends using MSM gel in combination with MSM capsules or powder. I am also taking 3 of these pills a day: from here: MSM 1000mg (240 Capsules) - 1476 |

HawaiianPunch, I can believe that; I've read posts by others that say using rich moisturizers make the KP worse, not better, while some will say the richer the moisturizer the better. It's not a 1-cure-for-all thing, that's for sure.
A poster who said this stated this product helped: Clinique | Skin Care | Acne | Acne Solutions Body Treatment Spray b/c it was a non-clogging spray product. A good, lightweight moisturizer to try that you can get in a drugstore would be corn huskers lotion. It has a gel consistency. ![]() |
