do u think kp is metabolism related?

i've got very bad kp since i was 5/6, i've got bumps all over my upper arms and dots all over my legs, back and butt and it's never got any better in my life at all (i've tried many things like exfoliation, oil pulling, etc). i've been reading stuff abt kp for a long time, and now im wondering if it's metabolism related. my thought is if it's because our metabolism is not fast enough to remove all the excess keratin, and so we've got kp? im never a sports person, walk/stand all day at work but never excercise, i easily feel exhausted and i put on weight very easily as well... im thinking perhaps i should start excercising or taking herbs to boost my metabolism and see if it helps my kp... but while im testing my theory, i also want to know if u guys don't excercise much as well, feel like u've got slow metabolism too??? i really hope my kp can be better...

And opposite of the 2 lucky skinny people above me, I have always been able to gain weight fast, just thinking about an extra piece of cake will make me gain 10 lbs! And I have mild KP.

Re: do u think kp is metabolism related?

I don't gain weight easily, i excercise almost every day. I do cardio on one day and weights on the other. I started excercising about a year and a half ago and my KP is pretty much the same as it was 10 years ago.

But, it's worth a try. It's never a bad thing to excercise!
